Hmm, I just thought of something again
. What if you capture a province that you believe will be attacked sometime soon and you want to forgo your current turn's attack and build fortifications in that area that turn in preparation of a counterattack. This may not seem too major of a point, but I believe that if you can fortify sectors, that will allow you to free up divisions for flanking maneuvers/attacks while you protect the fortified area with minimal amount of troops. Likewise, it would be interesting if you could invest some of your munitions/fuel/manpower in a "bombardment turn" during which a certain amount of firepower is dropped on a territory. This could be very useful for attacking heavily guarded areas. The bombing could be simulated at the beginning of the battle and would be random 105 strikes/bombing runs/rocket strikes or w/e.
