it isnt like a TA is only accompanied by 1 repair bunker...usually 1 or 2 rep bunkers or 2-4 pio squads.
i'd say 5-10 minutes is being exaggerating a little bit considering a lot of, once again, the competent TA users will only field it when they have the pop, and have the support (marders, atht, paks) to fend off any FF or upgun sherman.

if what u say is true in a game your main problem is not the TA. and if there is more than on repair bunker then lets see.
2 bunker 4 pop
3-4 pio 6-8 pop
1 TA 18 pop
28 too 30 pop of none fighing units.
your are fighing 3 vs 2 or 2 vs 1 and if you can't win there.....
and fighting the TA with shermens is a joke right?

The stats on how many shots it takes and ATG to kill it are wrong. Assuming only 1/3 shots penetrate (not accounting for AP rounds).
ATGs deal 50% of their damage if they do NOT penetrate, so even if nothing penetrates thats 75 damage a shot.
1500/75 = 20.
Now lets add in penetrations. 3.5 seconds a shot or so, dependent on range.
So over 40 seconds lets say 11 shots hit (38.5 seconds of firing vs 40 seconds of button). We'll go with 4 penetrate due to the extra shot that fires at 41 seconds so it about evens out.
4x 150 = 600
7x 50 = 350
So from a SINGLE ATG in that 40 seconds its down 900 HP on average. Add in AP rounds and it gets more fun.
3 shots auto penetrate for 125% damage, 8 shots hit normally, 2 penetrate just to give it the benefit of the doubt.
300 damage from bounces
300 damage from normal penetration
562.5 from AP rounds
1162.5 damage. Sad tank.
So no, 1 ATG + 2 Button will not kill it, a Jeep + Bren + 2 ATG will kick its ass. Or Bren + Sticky + 2 ATG.
Lets take the higher pop cap use one, or 18/19 pop, to counter 19 pop....seems pretty even, your stuff should even live through it.

But noone does, or noone decent, so all those stats are useless, charging any tank head on into at guns by itself will probally see it die, but when you teammate can help and kill the at guns/bren then the tiger can run rampant and spank everything. And you cant attack where the TA isnt because it takes 5 seconds for it to get there, you try not to kill it and it takes out half your army while your pulling back.

Remove OR:
The PP cost should be FUCKING astronomical for this this. There were only a dozen or so Tiger aces in the war. Imagine the prestige you'd have to pull to get one assigned to you.

actually there was no tank "tiger ace" in ww2 there where commanders and crews that were aces using tigers
the tiger ace is really an additional unit the lure CoH veterans (good thing to have some new people with game knowlegde) to EiRR cause it was long time ago when they saw awesome tiger ace micro in 1v1 (as rare as terror was the choosen doctrine in the past)
i remember a guy in vent that was so excited when he saw the tiger ace again after 1.5 years
ps: were is the "
just remove the calliope please" thread?
that would be really nessecary to do something with this unit since there is no "real" retreat button in EiR

I know it wasn't a specific tank, but if you look through the history there were only a few tiger crews that got attention as Aces, like Wittman and the like.
The Ace performs the function it should, but it doesn't cost enough PP and has a strong potential to be very lame.

AP rounds only lasts for 10 seconds. It is difficult to get 3 AP shots off, since it's practically impossible to activate AP rounds before the first shot owing to latency. Furthermore, it is possible for a 57 to miss shots against a Tiger at long range (12%).
regardless... the button/57 scenario was only to show how tough the TA is. in real game terms the TA is fast enough that the wehrmacht player must fuck up to get buttoned for the full duration. it's very unlikely for that to happen also within range of a 57. Even if there is one nearby it will need to move and setup.

AMPM, myst, shoe, your 57mm numbers are way off.
57mm has a 1.5 second wind down animation timer that adds to the reload, that massively decreases its rof. It fires once every 5.3 seconds, not 3.7. This is why you can only get two shots with AP rounds btw, its literally impossible to get a third shot.
