It's about 3 seconds faster than previously. Your panther can kill the emplacement in 18 seconds?

Automatic weapons do a lot of damage to building emplacements, but if your panther only had its main gun then yea it wouldn't have done enough damage in time. Shoot the crew instead, they will retreat at 1 man.

You can't manually target the crew, they have garrison halftrack armor making them untargetable.

It had the MG upgrade as well.

And you can't manually target the crew.

The edit button appears to be missing so I have to double post -

I believe the problem is the setup time, however. Free heal every 30 seconds? Able to set up in the face of a tank with an MG gunner on top at point blank and still be fine? Jeez they're hard to kill.

Well, it literally setup right in front of my panther, with nothing guarding it.  Panther got off two shots on it before it finished, didn't kill it, and it popped right back to near full hp and I had to leave after circling for a little bit due to a 57mm.

- Armored Car has Puma armor type

Are they possible to beat with infantry? (like in retail) Or we need at guns/handheld at?
I wonder how would be effective all the comboes with IHT

i think the changes to the PE are very good, it actualy makes armoured cars worth getting!

also it alows me to use HT like armoured calvery and not wory about a bar squad (lol). the only drawback to the HT is that its dies very fast to AT and with the new HT cuasulty rate it makes losing one realy hurt some times killing the entire squad inside.

Well now IHT are really good, push infanty out of cover, rape move to next unsupported position, rape, bar fire, failure, we really need atguns now, but AC's and IHT are pretty fast they could take a hit and circle strafe the atgun then goes the IST and Marders and rape again. I hope they won't be that common.
PE needed a buff sure, just hope it's not like fighting fast AC's in retail.

Reserve some judgement on balance until you get used to the new changes. I know it will take a couple of games/days for players to relearn some tactics and develop new ones when dealing with the new changes to old units.

Overall, I think it's better now. British and PE are both very attractive options with their own quirks.

It's not self-healing. The Emplacement is completely vulnerable while packing up.

Puma armor may be a bit excesive on the AC - I mean, it's not that it won't die after getting shot, it will be the fact you can't actually shoot it at all :S. Will probably need a cost increase to match puma, because now it is, essentialy, a puma, with a better MG.

The IHT armor type change was probably uncalled for - they were quite effective as it was, but time will tell, really. I think we'll be seeing quite a lot of "please nerf/increase cost" threads real soon by allied players, though.

Emplacement changes seem quite nice, packing up might take forever, but if the crew survives longer now, you might not need to pack up that fast, I guess(as in, gtfo from mortar hiting you).

88s also heal, of course their infantry do die.

I had 2 17 pounders die while building last night, they die fast.
but maybe we should be removing their garison armor while not emplaced.

17s are stupid powerful now, but I don't think it's too much of a balance problem, because of things like the new and improved armoured cars... they rape PIATs, so the 17 is one of the only good counters... and I lost two 17s yesterday to volks-MP40s backed up with mortars. But I found the games I played yesterday to be fairly well balanced. I even killed on of Apollo's Hetzers! =P The 17 is now finally an area-denial weapon like the 88.

My initial impressions on the 00.4 changes
I am not going to comment on the changes that I fully agree on.


PRICE CHANGES

Grenades: All grenades got their price reduced. A nice and needed change since grenades were only equipped on special troops. But why did the assault grenades get a price increase at the same time?

Calliope: Should probably have its pop increased even more but it is a good start.

Removed soldier armor: I like that fact that you weapons now deal the same amount of damage to all fractions but I think you guys buffed Brits/PE way too much. 80 health used to be grenadiers (4 man!) with 85 health being reserved for Storm Troopers only.  85 health Commandoes are OP! -  Since health has more or less been evened out on the assault troops you guys really need to look at their pricing: Commandos get 6 “assault rifles” and smoke for 160muni. Assault Grens gets 4 Assault Rifles for 110 munitions… Storm troopers get 2 assault rifles for 120 munitions… 

17pounder:  Something needed to be done. Maybe 80 range will play out nice but it needs a price increase now. I think the problem now will be the regeneration it gets when moving. It is now place far enough back to avoid most direct attacks + it is out of range of mortars and nebels/stukas will not kill it in a single barrage. The regeneration will make it “unkillable”.

Armored Car has Puma armor type: So now the AC is cheaper, 2 less pop, faster and has more acceleration and better damage + overdrive… and slightly less heath…  This thing needs a price increase!

Skirts changed to their beta value:  I like this change but it has a MAJOR effect on efficiency of hand held AT against skirted tanks. This should be reflected in prices. First of all the skirts themselves need a price reduction since their effect has been lowered. Second: The Bazookas and PIATs has a 1.6 damage modifier against P4 and 1.5 modifier against Panthers.  This was lowered to 0.5 with the old skirts. The new skirts gives 25% less penetration and damage but the damage modifier is kept at 1.6. Effectively this means that they now do 240% dam and 25% less penetration on a P4 with new skirts in comparison to a P4 with old skirts. The price of the Bazookas and PIATS needs to reflect this.
