Patch Release Notes:
v2.502 04/21/2009
Fixes
- Fixed a crash that occurred while automatching in an operation automatch.
- Fixed a crash that occurred in the Worldbuilder when saving a valid map.
- Action markers work again in the Worldbuilder.
- The default map folder in the Worldbuilder works again.
Gameplay:
- There is now a delay that affects how quickly an MG will swap between windows. An MG will have to stay at a window for a short period of time ~ 2 seconds before it can move to another window
Hope it doesn't break EiRR again :/

This was already possible, and not really that hard. The new change will just make it so that every noob in the game can do it...Once again Relic takes skill/strategy out of the game

i do believe it always took about 2 seconds to switch windows. so it's simply reverting to how it was, probably an unintended change. Also the patch is out now.

No, the point is that now you can take a squad under fire from a building and switch targets, this means that if you can take on 2 squads of riflemen with a single mg in the building... incredibly stupid change. Before it was a 'bug' now its a 'feature'.

Before it was a 'bug' now its a 'feature'. i see. but isn't this something we have been asking for? to be able to pick what target you shoot at if you have an MG in a window. maybe im just not understanding how this works exactly. I mean that's great for your .30 with AP rounds that is shooting at grens instead of the puma that's coming towards it. but at teh same time, i imagine an MG42 could suppress 1 group of rifles, then switch to another window and suppress the squad that's trying to flank it. they'd have to make it that if a MG sqwitches suppression is quickly lifted.

I had to flank the central church in Semois on automatch. It was the most elaborate infantry flank I've ever achieved, using three riflemen and two flamers coming from three or four different angles just to take one, unsupported building o.o

Akranadas' Greatest Hits, Volume 1: Vet has nothing to do with unit preformance. We are serious about enforcing this, and I am sure you all want to be able to have your balance thought considered by the development team with some biased, sensationalist coming into your thread and ruining it.

In the end I just had to shoot it out of the church from the buildings in the east and west, I couldn't flank it at all as it turns out :p

That's the whole problem with this change for vCOH, T1 balance is now borked as an unsupported axis mg now requires 3 riflemen squad to take out instead of 2 (1 drawing fire, the other flanking). Heck, since suppression lasts for quite a bit, I bet you could take on 3 squads of riflemen by continuously switching windows

You guys seriously need to know this.
Mortar > Buildings. Even if it doesn't hit everyone takes their massive stack out of the building. A PE player with incindiary rounds will be laughing at the fact you have 3 squads in a building, or even a whermact with the assault ability or any good grenade.

There's only two approaches to the blind spot, both of which can be covered by a super switch MG silly :p

Assault on a building? really? grenades? don't throw away munitions on good players, No one above lvl 8 gets hit with assault if their in a building. and most people just get outside if your throwing a grenade
