Precision strike sounds like a "your weapon vet dies" ability, but I haven't seen it yet, so I won't jump to any conclusions...

It nice against weapons team, but if the player is watching they do have enough time to get away from the one shell. I managed to take out a sniper with it But FOO is fucking bullshit there is no getting way from it even if you see the smoke and I'm talking about Grens here not set up weapons teams because they're just dead.

FOO has the same exactly call down timer as officer barrage. The officer barrage is more deadly to infantry in the open, the FOO is more deadly to garrisoned units as it can potentially collapse the building.

FOO is great also for the pin effect it has. If your going to foo make sure you place a mortar barrage in on the same place, or have infantry to sweep the area, anything caught in it that didn't evaporate in the barrage will be pinned and can be cleaned up.
Like everything in this game its the combination of items and abilites that determine success or failure of an ability.

Yeah you see smoke, you tell your infantry to run then the get pinned and a barrage with a stupidly large are of effect kills everything.
Then there are people complaining about a single shell, boo hoo.
Anyway off maps are gay.

People just need to learn to factor them in again. No matter how much theory crafting/ranting happen on these boards, the bottom line is that off maps are a part of this mod. Try to shape their existence with well argued points, not responses clouded by emotion.

In my opinion offmaps are going to cause extreme problems for what was originally a balanced veterancy system. Spending PPs on vet that can simply be annihilated instantly is now less useful than ever in a big way.

All the more reason to move veterancy to a seperate PP system, which I do believe is one of the proposals being considered.

I think offmaps should be in the same pp system because they are doctrinal and it would be more polished, just limite those numbers to 1-2 and make them cost many pps.
