Before the war starts, players should nominated, and vote for, commanders etc.

Same goes for Infantry based and Airborne based companies.
i think thats an excellant idea and i think it would add a new dept of strategy and enjoyment to the whole europe in ruins experience.

I always enjoyed supreme commander, to a degree.. but my nano droids would never out produce my enemies, and my tier 3 bombers were just to slow at getting airborn to blow your tactical nukes before they could launch...

Will the commanders be split up like:
Supreme commander of the great armored force of the REICH ( xD ) and and so on for inf, airborne, blitz, terror or will there be one all over boss-ish Guy?
Also there woud have to be a: A lot of guys commanding to make sure evry gets res to play when the play (different timezones!) or b: a automatic system, witch maybe also makes sure no n00bs destroy a side or get underresupplyed.

There will be one supreme commander, followed by a series of lesser commanders that will control large sections of the army. These large sections are split up into smaller sections. The size of aforementioned sections can be determined by the players, and as I've already stated the commanders will be voted for.
Essentially, it will be up to the players to choose a command structure that allows a fair, balanced, and war-winning distribution of resources, and command and control. This allows for greater depth of strategy.

Perhaps instead have people join "Armies", sort of like a clan in any other MMO, then that Army gets bonuses from all resource control points that they have on the World Map. They also get to set their own chain of command.
Players not in an Army do not benefit from resource bonuses from the World Map.
So some competition both ways, you want to push to Berlin faster than that group over there, and it keeps the whole game from being messed up if someone gets drunk and decides to send all the resources to one person.

come to think about it, makeing a person have to give out the res will be quite monotomus for that person, calculated resourses on your involvment and rank etc might be better, and give rank someother power, but having a human hand out resourses with people in diffrent timezones could get very annoying, id love to be a SC but i wouldn't want to spend time having to make sure i made everybody happy and didn't give one person too much etc.

What would be good would be if there was a default amount of resources that everyone gets. Then a supreme commander could if he wanted set small bonuses in areas where he wanted to begin an offensive, resulting in a small penalty for everywhere else. A supreme commander would be good, but he should have a cap on what resources he can dole out.
