I may have exagurated a bit there bit thats the line people are constantly using.

I cant compete with veteran players because I dont play enough.  I dont have enough PP because I dont play enough.  I dont have any vet 3 units because I dont play enough.

What I am saying is if we just hand everything out.  What was the point of leveling up my company in the first place just so everything can be evened out.

It's a persistency mod.  Players who play more are going to have an easier time accumulating vet and doctrine abilities than those who play maybe 3 or 4 games a week.  That's pretty much the definition of a persistency mod.

The thing about the level 8 no pp cost reset is that it's used mainly for testing purposes.  It won't last very long, which means after it's over you can start accumulating vet and doctrine abilities again.  The last one lasted too long, which scared away a lot of people.

I don't think this is a very opportune time to have a level 8 no pp cost reset though.  We're kind of in the middle of a process in terms of balance and doctrine trees.  Tbh not much has changed since the last level 8 no pp cost war.

No testing is needed.  Most of us are Lvl 8 already.  Some of us have mutliple lvl 8 accounts.  There is nothing particular new that needs to be tested.

Now if they want to release the new doctrines THEN give everyone free PPs sure I can see that because then we have something to test.  Weve been testing the current version for quite some time.

In a persistency mod the one thing that will scare the most people away is resetting too often.

True, I believe the doctrines shouldn't require so much grind, but the worst scenario is where average players barely hit level 8 and all of a sudden they're reset and all that work is wasted.

What about the people, you know, in the balance advice board, who, you know, want to test out their concepts before claiming "this combination is OP". I have a lot of concepts on OP combinations that noone is using yet, but I can't put them to practice due to there only being 24 hours in a day. A "everyone's lvl 8 for a week" patch would help me do it. You may well say that the doctrine rework is coming soon, but get a load of this : most doctrine abilities are going to stay.
