Not true at all, I have three of them and I've seen Smokaz use them before too. I fucking love these things, they're really good for their low cost of just 40 fuel.
Maybe if bazookas and Boys AT were as common as you say they would be bad, but I find Boys AT to be extremely rare and bazookas to not be a problem
This sort of gives the idea that Zooks/AT Rifles are rare, and that Zooks are in some way ineffective against Flammens, neither of which are particularly true.
And seeing as very little AT/support is necessary to kill even an entire Flammen rush, that's leaves me to believe your opponent has little to no AT on the field. If you were facing any real AT, your Flammens would fall apart in seconds.

Bazookas are terribly ineffective against flammenhalftracks, given that it takes at least four hits to kill one flammenhalftrack with an average reload of 7 seconds and low accuracy (0.35x long or 0.6x medium, 0.75x if halftrack is moving). Even with two squads of Rangers (or four squads of bazooka rifles) you're looking at around three barrages of rockets to take down one flammenhalftrack, and in that time the flammenhalftrack can do plenty of damage. Even longer if the flammenhalftrack stays at long range (25), which is well outside of Bazooka medium range (17), which means the Bazooka will take longer to reload too.

My opponents generally have AT. Just because they don't have Boys AT and their bazookas are bad doesn't mean they have no AT.  I'm not a retard and don't rush ATGs and M10s with flammenhalftracks. They don't have to be a suicide unit.

There's only a small 8m range between the bazooka's medium range, and the Flammen's maximum range, and some of that is even taken up by the HT itself (since the HT's cab/engine block will be closer to the Zooks than the actual flamethrower). Keeping a HT within the bazooka's Long range is difficult (near impossible if you're microing multiple HTs), and means that you can't circle around ATGs.
So in practice, your HTs will be operating in a Bazooka's Med/Short range, which means that they're faster firing and more accurate than you give then credit for.
You also fail to take into account doctrine buffs like Steady Sights or Tank Reapers, as well as Officer buffs or even vet.

That "small" 8m range is just about 50% longer than Bazooka medium range. Circling around ATGs shouldn't be a question, I don't put my flammenhalftracks near ATGs unless they're decrewed. Scout for ATGs and keep the flammenhalftracks out of their area. They work fine being defensive and denying an enemy infantry charge, so long as you keep an eye out for an ATG moving up. I was also talking about medium range for the most part, and mentioned that it would be worse at long range which is a very real possibility. So no, mentioning that they are even worse at long range does not mean I'm giving them less credit than they deserve at medium range.

It's not a failure to account for doctrinal buffs, but rather me not even bothering with something as stupid as that. If we're going to go that route, we could say I have an officer with dual T3s in the area buffing my vet 3 halftracks considerably. This has nothing to do with the base unit performance.

Leaderboard proves absolutely nothing, they are simply not a unit that I'm going to bother retreating. They fight to the death.
