I had 117 XP on my JT before last game.  I killed at least 13 guys before I was forced off the field.  I now have 124 XP.  I'm confused.

It has a low vet modifier, so killing certain things mean less.

Example: If you blew away 13 engineers, then you would only recieve like 5xp. You'd think you get more, but you don't because the more powerful tanks receive less xp per kill than lets say, a Jeep or an M8, which gets boosts to xp gained because of their fragility.

Vet modifiers need to be tuned at one point. Apart from ability to survive, killing power needs to count as well, and sadly this varies a lot with doctrines and upgrades.

The redonkooolous high xp requirement on the KT reflects only it's hp/armor, not the fact that it misses infantry a lot and has little ability to chase down and finish off stuff.

And the jeep for instance could be argued to deserve a better vet modifier than the bike, since the jeep has less firepower and hardly more survivability than the bike.


In general I think the modifiers are too high for a lot of units and it would be better if the actual required value was higher for those units with a high modifier.

Has anyone even confirmed that xp values below zero actually get added to the unit's total count..*opens bag of worms*

I don't think it works that way groundfire.

Each soldier should give 1xp, elite infantry 2 xp. What I would find more likely the cause of this happening is the battlereporting being glitchy every now and then or crazy just mistaking.

the 25 loses all xp it gains in the game other than xp for surviving if it pulls off, it gains the xp as an emplacement so loses it when it becomes inf again it is a little anoying but not the end of the world

It's sloppy SCAR coding and I wouldn't expect it to get fixed before COH 2 comes around. We were planning on doing an emplacement rework eventually, but I don't think it's realistically on the table any more in terms of development planning.
