I would like to apologize for the lack of development over the past month. To be completely honest, I got a bit burned out and started doubting the success of Europe In Ruins, and COH as a whole. My time was limited due to some issues that had come up personally and with that went a lot of my interest in the project. I've been slowly trying to ease myself back into development of the project as we have a great stream of steady ideas and the future of Europe In Ruins is certainly bright.

The next version of Europe In Ruins will contain our first version of persistency. Units lost in battle will no longer be available and veteran units will retain their veterancy into future battles. It will also include a huge list of balance updates and the new four-tier doctrines created by Ucross. This will be the first version on our way to an actual war map.

I want to personally thank all of you who have offered words of encouragement, and even gotten angry over the lack of updates. It is entirely my fault that development stopped, but I assure you I'm re-dedicating myself to the project. I hope that you will stick around to see v1.7 come to life and that you will invite all your friends and spread the word once it's actually in your hands. Thanks again.

Sweet!  Thanks for the update fldash!  I, like many others, haven't been playing EIR for a week or so, but as soon as 1.7 comes out, I'll be right back!  Good luck getting things coded and released!

A mod needs two things to be successful

1) A good idea

2) A dev team that implements things well, and listens to feedback

This is one hell of a good idea, and you folks are some of the most open minded mod developers I've ever seen. I honestly cannot see EiR failing, ever, unless you guys just stop working on it.
