I was thinking, it would be cool if maybe there were some different advantages, so I though I'd make a thread if anyone had some cool ideas for different advantages.

Maybe extra SP would be some kind of advantage?

Shit I'm pretty sure you could offer the guy a cup of coffee and he'd try to kill you with the mug if you forgot sugar.

That's like offering Beer to fuck the fat chick. It will work for a while, but it's not gonna last. Not only that, but there is zero motivation for the Fat chick to loose weight.

Why don't you collect up your love beads and potpourri and find something constructive to do.

Personally I think the Recons and Supply Drops are very useful.  However, the smoke comes in far too slowly for it to be used to save units.  It's really only useful for smoking a position so you can run in flamers and nades.  If you're playing good (or overly paranoid) players then you can drop it on AT guns and hopefully they'll move when their soldiers shout "Incoming!"

The other thing that annoys me the most about noob advantages is great players getting noob advantages when they use new companies.  Sure.. they don't have very many doctrine abilities, but winning games is usually about being more skillful than your opponent, not having more unit buffs.  There are some exceptions, but generally a pro playing with a level 1 account will still beat a noob that is 20-50 but has all his doctrine unlocks.  However this problem of mine is only loosely related to the actual noob advantages as opposed to not having every player's accounts linked to a main account.

Edit: Plus, playing those pro players that use level 1 accounts result in an extremely hard game (made even harder by them having access to 4 free recons and a supply drop) for only a handful of pp's (assuming my account is level 5+).

Well the design of training advantages was not to be based on skill, but variation between developed and non-developed companies.

would love to be able to apply the reroll to specific units rather than getting some random no xp halftrack back

Dafuq man, don't ask for proof if you'll refuse it if it's not in your favor, logic fallacy for the bloody win.

Hmmmm.

I could tailor an advantage with a higher %, but only to one pool for example.  Interesting train of thought though Tym Wink
