i can cite when the soviets called the KT armor shoddy after firing 100s of rounds of varying calibers at it lol. theres a bunch of articles to cite all over the place. but you are going against the grain of what a lot is common knowledge. German armor was superior do thru simple crew tactics and far superior coordination early in the war. Mid war period this held true even with massive losses and tanks being still on par or weaker than t-34s and early shermans encountered in africa. Late war german tanks now held superior armor and firepower but losses and in crews had greatly affected their performance. At the last months of the war there was noticeable decline in crew experience, work shop maintance and build quality of tanks. Yet thru all these they were still a huge fear and respect when encountering german armor.
