What's the point? Unless your whole team has early deployment it would be stupid for one, or even two players in a 3v3 to attack early. Does anyone use this to their advantage? If not, as I suspect, maybe it can be change to "in attacking entire team deploys 20 seconds quicker" also have it stack, so if 3 people have the early deployment you can attack a full minute early.

quick example infantries T1 deploys in half normal time, so you can attack one or two other players by yourself for 2 minutes? doesn't sound fun.

I also forget to mention that surprise attacks that happen when no enemy is supposed to be on the field never work.

No, when one player enters the field you lose the arty protection.

Doctrine choices should reduce the amount of time that the defenders have to set up, not just let one player come on the field early. It's useless that way. Just leads to that player getting gang raped.

Yep, that's true, I guess no one really played attack/defend before to notice this (or the timers weren't coded in the game).

It's changing slightly in the reworked Drafts.

Anything that reduces your deployment time works for your entire team. This problem was recognized a little over a month ago and is being changed accordingly

I certainly hope so Burn.  I was in a game where it was axis defend but I deployed 2 mins early.. and they just rushed tigers into the spawn and raped my opening 3v1 because my two allies couldn't come onto the field at the same time and I lost spawn protection XD  Currently the ability feels more like a detriment than a positive buff.

Also, is there anything coding wise that can be done to appoint or give a greater chance for a player to go 'first' in R mode?

Like OP says, essentially useless without there being a variation in the def timer between 1 to 4 minutes, or with everyone on the team having it.
