As we have previously mentioned, work on a new patch is underway.  The main objective of patch 2.600 is to fix some key bugs, not to make wide sweeping changes to the game.  The key bugs we’re looking to fix are:

    * Heavy Machine Guns.  We will be introducing a fix to the current delay for an HMG switching windows when in a building and return proper operation for British emplacements and other units that were affected by patch 2.502.
    * Fix the Pak 38 camouflage stacking bonus modifier that increases the gun’s damage beyond the intended effect.
    * Commonly known as the ‘burst fire bug’, we will address an issue that allowed some units to ignore their weapon cooldowns.
    * We are introducing a new map for Panzerkrieg along with a fix for the free defensive infantry bug.  Some balance changes will also be incorporated for the Panzerkrieg tanks.

There are further bug fixes and changes in the patch, such as a reduction to the effectiveness of the T17, but these are the main points.  Please stay tuned for more updates on patch 2.600 including a first look at the new PanzerKrieg map.  We will of course be posting the full patch notes here on the community site once the patch is near release.

Thank god, though the most important change here I would say is the HMG's. Panzerkrieg wasn't a serious gametype but the fact that HMGs, a staple of the wehr and WSC starts were made nearly useless by the building change was a serious issue. I'm glad they are getting around to fixing that.

It was so bad that if an HMG got into a building with my infantry nearby, I would look to see why side it was on, put my guys on the opposite, then chalk it off as a win and move on. The pak thing was a little more subtle, but I have noticed they seemed to be doing ridiculous damage sporadically.

Glad to see Relic making fixes, hopefully they won't be screwing any else up with it.

well at least they're getting the major bugs.

Just from that post alone, thunder covered all of my problems with the game.

m10 Wolverine? It was never listed in the changelogs that it was getting a bugfix, however the Tales of Valor patch reduced the frequency of the miss-fire bug.
