So my experience so far, they did a great job and progression is very good.

Example Panzerschreck:
Me and 2 other guys were running from cover to cover and ended up behind a truck on the road. We were basically pinned as a machine gun and a rifle guy kept shooting at us from the church tower.
My mates were shooting back but just to show some resistance while i reloaded my Schreck.

I waited til the MG guy had shot another burst, leaned around, took aim, rested the gun on some part of the truck, and shot.
The rocket hit the wall but the blast was hard enough to go through and kill everyone in the church (turned out there were 3 guys).
Then i turned around to see one of my teammates lying 3 feet away, killed from the blast as he must have stood directly behind me.
That was fun! Cheesy

Shows the new backblast/blast of the Schreck. Generally all heavy guns/tanks can shoot through stuff like that now. So no more cover behind a sandbag from tank fire.

I do remember that Foy map, was a great experience playing it.
Unfortunately I was really the only map I had a fun time playing.

Mod isn't that good, new skins for models and weapons but gameplay is still pretty poor (little to none teamwork), also aiming system is stupidly hard with new weapons, other weapons are fine a part from smgs recoil which is a bit roflmao.

Teamwork is blamed upon the community, If you want dedicated teamwork then join a clan/unit.

Aiming is totally fine, you yust need to rest the weapon. I have played this for a long while and i aren't experiencing any problems even from the beginning.

Except in the beginning of the red orch mod where i yust plained sucked for about a year, but after that i really have appreciated the game to the level it should.

i like the fact that all weapons have a trajectory including snipers!!!

i love taking long shots and guessing how high above him i have to shoot lol it is so good!!
and the tanks, the range watever thingingy makes the tank combat even more awesome, only problem i have with it is that u have to drive and can't use the main gun as well which i would mind if i was able to just drive from the turret although that would kill the realism.

and i love the noobs in shermans thinking that is some kind of COH Grin

and i drove my KT yesterday onto a wide area...2 panzerIV H and a panther were with me saving my flanks
than for at least 15 min they send waves of shermans shooting all onto me and my KT
i took at least 50-100 hits until it was down meanwhile the panzerIVs panther and me taking wave for wave out

that is not coh where a sherman is able to penetrate KT frontal armor at long ranges...

i love that they have to attack a supported kingtiger by rushing at least 10 shermans to the KT to get close range/rear shots

The new release of Darkest Hour is a lot better.  It got the polishing it desperately needed.  If anybody is interested in a realism unit for it by the way, send me a private message or something.

Edit: Guderian you're in the 29th ID?  Cool!  I'm in the 2nd SS msyelf, fun to know there is another member of the realism community playing this mod. Cheesy

I've been playing DH quite a lot the last week, good fun, though I feel the maps aren't all that varied. I'm also not too much of a fan of the tank map philosophy of Orel that seems to have carried over to DH (vieux and wacht_am_rhein), where you need to spend 10 minutes just to find an enemy. Personally I like playing AT/PaK-soldier on combined maps like Stoumont or Raids, nothing like popping up in a hedgerow or building and nailing a tank.

I've seen you both online draken and immanio.  Grin
Well I kinda feel that all attacking maps are too much key jobs dependant, so if a noob takes sniper/officer spot you've already lost. All attacking maps have some objectives that are insanely imbalanced, like crazy open spaces or objectives where the enemy spawns right behind or inside it XD. Tank maps are horrible as graphic, vieux is fun because of the jeep and the War Feeling while you travel in the halftracks but it's boring as hell because it's all about backcapping. Sad that there are always the same maps that are being played (juno -whose last objective is simply insane-, foy -without good officer you've already lost- etc.) and few new maps. British maps are even more lol, epecially those with airbornes.
A thing I hate is that if noobs takes roles like machine guns/snipers/officer with smoke you're wasting your time trying to play on that side.

You ever played that custom map with only one stug and one ht, where germans have to atack, mostly they cant even reach first flag from 10 on that map, they dont even have sniper. And mostly noob takes officer kit which means, no arty which is most important thing on that map.
