axis heavy tanks are useless now because they cost too much and u dont get abilities which make them stronger like the pershing. (field repairs, uber cannon, double crew repairs)

Yeah, because Defensive Panthers canīt have Omniscience to shoot and kite at max range or Fatherland Defense that increases all your unitīs HP by 20, neither Blitzrkieg Tigers/TA/Panthers can get Longer Barrels, Smoke Canister, Repair Specialisation, HEAT Rounds, Conviction or German Engineering, not even the Terror doctrine has Intensity (to make those mounted hmgs nasty at close range), German Steel or Beast of Burden.

/Sarcasm.

Oh wait, all the axis doctrines have ways to buff all your tanks while thereīs only 1 that can do that with the allies you fucking biased cunt.

The only non-doctrinal buff I'll see it getting is a Population Decrease. If that. So don't hold me that.

On the doctrine side... well.... you'll have to wait and see.

Except they don't have better armor from the sides and rear, and no HMG for defense or a turret to track circling tanks, forcing you to constantly back up, thus losing ground.

Das, there is no such thing as side armor in CoH.

They are not meant to be like a KT with better armour and speed, they're meant to be a cross-breed between a StuG and a Whale.

But the sides split the hit between front and rear, so in essence the side does allow you to do more damage.

She needs more support than any other tank/armor piece.

You really DON'T want a JP instead of a KT.
You just don't.
Even in a straight slugfest, the KT usualy wins(labtested).

Dropped the Jadg, it has no ability to snipe tanks, and is only useful for soaking damage, which with the repair system, is not a good thing.

So its been replaced with a Marder Battery of 4 vehicles, and a Hetzer battery of 3 vehicles, 1 platoon of PG were trained in the use of these vehicles, and is taking over operations of them. Also a squad of Volksgrenadiers, on loan from the 352nd Infantrie Division, has been sent back to their division.

AKA, I dropped the piece of crap, tossed 2 squads of PG and a Volks, and was able to more than double my AT ability.

The ability to dictate a battle?

Right now both the Marder and Hetzer have longer range, allowing me to either hit the enemy tank earlier, and force them to engage or retreat.

It allows my AT to take the initiative.

The Jadg is big, takes a ton of resources, doesn't do significant damage, and is outranged by ATGs and Fireflies. It can't fight infantry and risking its loss is too expensive to make it usable to hunt down enemy tanks. Its pop intensive meaning you can't field much else with it in the form of vehicles and infantry, which is what PE does.

I don't think there is really much that can be done to make it not OP, and still have a place in an army beside the other Tank Destroyers. The range boost it needs to be useful will likely be a doctrine and not a unit upgrade, making other units that already have it built in still better (+10 from scopes, +5 from doctrine vs +5 from doctrine). As I said, its damage is nothing special, doing 137.5 vs 150 for the Marder or 87.5 for the Hetzer. With ACPR rounds both those other units will do fine vs just about anything, the Marder doing 40% of its gun damage even if it bounces. However, with the APCR rounds, the chance of a Marder bouncing off a Sherman is about 20% if I remember right, not all that likely.

Also Heavy Tanks usefulness in game has declined, this is due to the repair system. It used to be good to have the extra HP so that you could go in, blast away, pull out and repair, then rinse and repeat. It also meant you didn't have to worry as much about any type of disabling weapon, as in, 1 sticky (worth 20mu since you get 4 throws) wouldn't set you back a 120mu repair, and your only repair that game for that vehicle.

Make it a real awe tank destroyer


As is a king tiger is balanced ai vs at (roll with me its dark here) the jaghd will be at the extreme side with the AT

It needs range bonuses if it wants to compete with the other PE TDs.

As is, a Panther does the same thing, only better and with a Turret and Skirts.
