A rather simple map I'm developing for EIR (duh). Will simple map design that offers a variety of fighting conditions and tactics. The maps aim is to promote flanking and to not promote back capping. Points will be of real significance to the map design.

Still very early into its development.

Because, I don't players should be able to win by avoid battle and capping with 1-2 man squads.

We are serious about enforcing this, and I am sure you all want to be able to have your balance thought considered by the development team with some biased, sensationalist coming into your thread and ruining it.

Easiest way to prevent back-capping - make the entire map one sector =D

Is Akranadas in this thread? Fucker can't stop bragging about his "waifu taldeer" and cosplaying in an eldar farseer costume while shouting "Flithy monkeighs!" interspaced with random eldar gibberish.

Although if for some crazy reason you lost that sector, could be a PITA to get it back.

I don't like the way the pop cap system works in the game, I prefer it to be more about the units on the field then the sectors on the map, but I fought and lost that battle a long long time ago.

Dafuq man, don't ask for proof if you'll refuse it if it's not in your favor, logic fallacy for the bloody win.

but yeah, i dont like back capping either. Now, i do do it sometimes when say, the enemy is hunkered in one area and i just can't break through it, why keep pushing there when i can go around  them and take their territory there by bleeding out their pop power and then chip away at them and then they can't bring in reinforcements cuz i've in some ways, cut their supply  lines.

Well Tym, thats more flanking. Back capping is using 1-2 man squads to capture sectors when you've clearly lost the game and the other players can't recapture the sectors quick enough.
