a lot of people are having trouble with playing a 4v4. they have their reasons for it.
the reason is most likely people dropping out of the game coz their computer/internet sucks.

i however, enjoy EiR the most when playing a good 4v4.
so i think there must be a solution to the problem of people dropping in 4v4s.

my solution is:
making a list of all the people with bad computers/internet so others can avoid those people in 4v4s. this list will be made by the players themselve who played a 4v4 with a guy who cant run it.
this way, youll be almost always sure that the 4v4s will work.

and ofcourse, to push people a bit more, maybe add a battle advantage that gives you some extra PP/XP when playing a 4v4? renember: a 4v4 normally takes longer too, so some extra PPs/XP is logical

heres the 1st guy who should be on the 4v4 unsuitable list:

Why should we give extra incentives to play 4v4? It's sometimes not their fault that their connection/ computer can't handle a 4v4 so why should they be excuded from choice of gaining Extra PPs/XPs?

Its not rocket science, if you have one bar of performance, why in the world are you trying to play 4v4s?

Some people in this mod doesnt have the least bit of common sense.

Most people jus put there graphics to the highest it can go on there machine meaning they will only get like 10FPS in 2v2/3v3's. Most people like looks over performance and that is the reason why people don't play 4v4s. I could put my graphics upto high and would look good but would lag like hell in the most intense battles, so thats why I put my graphics on medium.

It's amazing what you know about most people.

Doesn't the perf rating measure the average FPS of games you're in, meaning if there's a lagger in your game you will get a lower perf?  That's my understanding so the performance bar is not entirely accurate.  My computer can run COH at around 30-40 FPS on ultra settings yet my perf is always fluctuating.

The perf bar indicates the lowest FPS in your last three games. So if 20 V1s go off or something, and it slows your computer down, it'll still count that as part of your perf, even if you run CoH perfectly otherwise, and that's why your perf can fluctuate so much.
Still, though, if someone's FPS has been under 5 for the last three games in a row, they generally can't handle something as large as a 4v4.

Cos it depends how much action and wat is happening in ur game at the time. Also depends wat map ur on and not every game is the exact same. I run COH on medium and get 40-50FPS but that all depends on what is happening in that game. (Big blobs/ Intense fire fights/ Massive offmap spam). Your preference is an average of the last 3 games you av played.

Well we first have to establish the meaning of 'rocket science' in this retrospective sentence.

Also going in on what meaning it has in context as also it has in general.

If you get 5 fps and lag when there is massive action, I don't want you playing in a 4v4, because you will lag whenever there is lots of action.

And how often do 20 V1s go off at the same time?  Its a red herring. Roll Eyes

Also: One sucky player or that drops/afk/fails etc. The fail odds with a 4v4 is really deteriorating.
And i am serious, if a 3v3 and a 4v4 is up i am joining the 3v3 regardless.

I don't whats so wrong with 4v4s.  Embarrassed

I have a 4v4/fail ratio of something like 5/2

So it's worth the try. They are always most fun.

youre right skaevola! lets do nothing, and keep letting people who dont take the responsibilty to not to play 4v4s becouse they cant run it, ruin other people's time!

Why don't you take responsibility for your own time, and not rely on someone else. It's really damn easy to see if someone's perf is bad enough to slow a game, and if you really think it's an issue, just ask that person to lower their settings so the game runs smoother.
Don't put the blame on others when there's a simple solution in front of you (all why alluding to the Holocaust as a reasonable means to dealing with a simple issue).

If they're smart they'll choose not to play 4v4's. Remember, when they're lagging, the 4v4 is just as miserable for them. But putting people into a list so you can discriminate against them is not just fucking stupid, its called discrimination, and is morally wrong.

Always set everything to the lowest. EVERYTHING.

Then only set Model Detail to the highest... otherwise when you zoom out you can't see anything.

and also its more like a witch hunt, if they would just turn down their settings they would be fine, tell them that, but don't create a witch hunt
