After 15 consecutive losses I'm taking a break from EIR.  I'll see you guys in a couple of months maybe, I just can't keep play loss after loss with no end in sight, it's no fun and I'm starting to hate the game, which isn't a good thing.

Have fun folks, see you in September...

I've tried 3 in the last 3 months, switched from US Armour, to RE, to RA. I don't really want to play Axis, and switching sides doesn't fix the problem of there being too many Axis players. But there you go...

I'll miss playing with you, even if we didn't do very well, on some level I truly enjoy the good company more than winning.  What can you do, nearly game, no matter what faction or doctrine you play has at least one person chock full of vet 2 & 3 units.

Take a breather and come back soon.

yeah i sympathize with you.  It's always bloody hard to win as brits.  I just started playing PE today instead of Brits and i find it 10x easier and 10x more fun to play.

Yeah i'll really be waiting for the next patch until i play a little more brits.  Only real way to win is to have 2 arty pieces specifically targeting enemy Mortars and artillery.

Brits got boring after they removed emplacements and replaced it with weapon teams.

I loved in the beginning with the whole set up - defeat - repack - move - set up.

Now brits are maybe not retarded but damn they are boring.

And i am going to miss you Osprey.
Hope you will be back *waves*

So Americans and Wehrmacht are boring too?
I'd say emplacement spam made for some pretty boring games to be honest.

I'm on the EiR Steam list if anyone wants a game at any point. Just message/invite me and I'll probably jump right in.

lol jeez stick to one. No wonder you arent getting any results. I have my allied infantry CO and thats it. My PE and thats it. Learn to work with 1 faction from each side rather than whine about other things.

Exactly.

There is only so many times you can slaughter Lt Apollo, Rocksitter, and Alwaysloseguy24 before you get bored and fall asleep.

That's not very nice pak, he tried multiple factions and didn't really get the feel for it.
You should really consider trying axis Osprey, just for shits and giggles.

Not sure I agree Pak, I've been playing this since Sept '07 so it's not as though I've no idea what I'm doing with my company builds. I played US armour for 5 months before switching to RE, and then played RE for 2 months before switching to RA. My build 'style' was the same for each, and I went through several periods of high win ratios with that build style, even against some of the better players in the community. It was only in the last 3 weeks of playing as armour, and in the last 3 weeks from today I've been unable to achieve a consistent result other than defeat. I've though about going back to US, but this seems to be the wrong approach.

One of the main reasons (in my opinion) I keep losing is that I can't compete against veterancy. I considered game screening to avoid newb team-mates and ensure stacked games, but to be honest that's a problem and a group of people I don't want to be a part of.

I'm not going to play Axis simply because I don't like Axis. I don't like the imagery, the game-play style, the units. It's just not me. I'm sure there are plenty of Axis players who don't play Allies either, but if I have to switch to playing Axis to win games, that doesn't solve the problem of Allies having a hard time does it?

Instead I'm going to take a break from the game for a couple of months and see what's changed when I return. If it goes better, great, if not, I'll probably find something else to do. A game is a game. If you stop having fun, you stop playing. The community here is good (a majority of people, more or less) so I'll keep dropping by the forums and join in games on Steam, but EIR is off limits for me for a while...

Actually, that's your own fault what looks like.

People say they play with anyone, then you keep losing when you only play with some random guys against stackers or such. Now you haven't won a while and you wanna leave.

It's his fault for refusing to stack?
