mp44 storms (elite anti inf unit) get cut to pieces by bren tommies (basic lmg anti inf - anti tank unit)

Bren Gun tommies aren't anti-tank units. Button only disables tanks, doesn't hurt them; they required dedicated anti-tank teams to take out tanks

they are anti tank support units making even crappy anti tank units laugh about tanks...i would always max out piats and than max out brens... to be ale to button and disable tanks is so insane powerfull..without need of a specialised unit just your basic ai inf i would even go so far to say that commando doctrine isnt the best doctrine because you dont even need commandos...you could put the munition into brens and get some other good doctrine stuff (mortar pits, priest, churchills with 75mm barrel, arve, churchill croc etc.) |

At best Brens are anti-infantry and vehicle deterrent. That is a big difference than straight up Anti-vehicle.

brens are one of the main reasions for british being a lot more capable at destroying axis tanks than americans. a noob with a bren and piat is mutch more effective than an avrage player with an airborn or shreck squad (bad compairison i know), this is due not to the individual weapon preformance but rather the extreamly powerfull and reliable abilitys aviable to any british blob.
as it stands a brit blob is extreamly hard to counter as tanks are basicly ussless against it and brens usualy can beat most anti infentry weapons.

HMGs are a good choice for suppressing infantry + use imba axis mortars and nebels. Btw, axis got tons of artillery for those blobs.

yes the noob level is to overwhelm the axis with a pure blob
and the more skilled level is to "spread" out your blob when not moving and use cover and always keep some arty/vehicles vs hmgs in the background

add a brencarrier to your piats and/or a bren squad and you i'll do fine
or use cover because ACs do shit vs units in cover and other than ostwinds they do not tend to destroy this cover....
most complete wrong point of views onto balancing is a result of completely wrong usage of the units and unit combinations....
