I'd love to see "average opponent rank" and "average teammate rank" as a viewable leaderboard stat.  I have a funny feeling it would be extremely telling.

Excellent idea. This would be the absolute best way to cut down on stacking, and uses a minimal amount of coding time (I think), since you already have the data...right?

Edit: read thread again.

Jack: No. That doesn't show player stats very clearly. Rank is the most direct measure of rank (well, duh).

An even better idea would be to calculate the average win/loss ratio of the people they played with, just to screen out smurfs.

But that would probably be harder to do.

Now we just have to wait for the devs...

Yes, yes and yes.  "With and against", again.

This system wouldn't work till rank 8 though.  I mean if you are rank 5, and you play with rank 5s, and then two days later you are rank 7, it would really skew the results.

See scrapking's post above yours for a better system.

It's also better than nothing (both the original idea and the new one). Especially for the leaderboard, where every person played at least a dozen games to average results already. Of course, the beginning of the war would have outliers, but those would quickly even out.

When we do another reset, we'll see if this can be implement. Right now it's not feasible due to the Rank 5 glitch that happened

It would work because there would still be an average.  You'd see the people who played what % of their games with and against certain other ranks & w/l%.  The w/l% is the real telling stat, moreso than avg. rank.

Shit I'm pretty sure you could offer the guy a cup of coffee and he'd try to kill you with the mug if you forgot sugar.

That's like offering Beer to fuck the fat chick. It will work for a while, but it's not gonna last. Not only that, but there is zero motivation for the Fat chick to loose weight.

Why don't you collect up your love beads and potpourri and find something constructive to do.
