for this LMAO car that never hits anything. It should be 6 pop.

They should do what I suggested be done to it in the AC thread. Just making it 6 pop won't fix any problems.

The Hotchkiss doesn't really fit in the current EiR environment very well.
It has it's purposes, but it's just not effective
enough

It's not really effective against anything, not even upgunned vs armor cars although the up gun does help slightly more, it still gets raped by all american ACs. Back to the drawing board for my company.

hotch stuka provides some decent indirect fire.. I see em rack up 15 kills if used right

I like the hotchkiss, but I wouldn't mined a Popcap reduction. It needs a buff, changing the pop cap is something thats easy and can be done quickly. As a stop gap for an actual buff.
Right now I use them in my PE company as an alternative to the AC. Its sucks that it dies to two hits from most things (while the staghound can insta supress and takes 5-6 hits from a marder III). But then I've had good luck raiding enimy support weapons with it, often its will decrew a morter or MG in one shot, (morters in particularly). And AT guns too. But it can only really chase of basic infantry anf flamers, airbourne and rangers it can kinda kite, not usualy.

thats not really true... a stag takes about 4 solid hits from a marder to kill...3 or so from a 57mm to kill a hotch..

Well, 4 "solid" hits is alot for light armour. Especial from something as big as a Marder III, still seems kinda rediculas. Some tanks can't take four solid hits from a marder (the M10, whatever that new tank is hellcat or something).
Two hits from a 57, a Zook or a RR leaves the Hotch with an almost imperceivable sliver of health.

And the Stuka Version shouldn't be the same pop, it should take 1-2 pop more. I know it's not powerful but if you really wanted right now you could spam them and get decent artillery.

Spaming them isn't an option, at least not unless your scoreched earth (I mean, who playes scorched earth, maybe two people).

Oh, and I woudln't say the Stuka version needs to be reduced. Just the normal version.
And that makes three people I know who play Scorched Earth. And I'm not sure they would spam HStuks, when they get the hummal.

Now you know 4 people. I dropped my Hstuka like a bag of dirt when I got my HumV. It really sucks compared to the regular WM stuka.

I need to get games with you guys, My tank busters would all give a testicle to be able to sit next to a Support scout car for a while (they'ed prolly grow it back).
Back on topic, Turns out the staghound has 150 more HP than the Hotchkiss, heck the stag has more health than the stuart, and all three vehicles share the same armour (stuart armour). I'd bring the T17 into this, but it would seem that the T17 isn't anything more than a glorified jeep (actualy the jeep has more health than the T17).
Theres plenty of stuff going on right now, but, all these new light vehicles are all so differant, they really shouldn't be held to the same standard.
For the immidiate time, adjusting the population & supply limits for each is probubly the best option, once most of the doctrains are in, then we can look at changing stats and buffing/nerfing.

SE player here. I think that makes three!
The Hotch sucks, both Stuka and non-Stuka, and isn't worth taking, even as SE.
I currently have a Mortar HT and a Hotch Stuka (which I'll be replacing with another Mortar HT shortly) in my battalion, and the Mortar HT consistently gets more kills, is more useful (incendiary shells), fires much more often (Hotch fires every two minutes), and is much cheaper.

Hotch (both versions) should be cheaper, and less pop.
Maybe 5 pop + reduce the upgun to 50MU for the normal, and 6-7 pop + FU reduction for the Stuka.
The Puma and the Mortar HT are both better than their respective Hotch counterparts in every way.

I really don't think they suck, the more you use them the more usefull you'll find them. My hotch generaly gets about 11-20 kills a game, and isn't quite as vulnerable to AT guns as the MHT (on account of its range).
I mean, its a bit less affective but a bit more durable.
Definatly not to be used like a puma, but its 40 range means it can stil get in some shots if it needs to.
The Upgun hotch has 45 range, and so it can actualy kite things, and while it shoots less its got a good chance of gibbing two people at a time.
As I mention before its good on support weapons, and blobs.
however, still not that good, at this poiint I'm talking tactics. Refer to my earlier post about reducing the pop.
Oh and with you illigal that makes 5.
Edit: as much as I love my HStuka, I probubly won't replace it if I loose it, at that point I'm sure I'll need the fuel for somthing else.

Despite being fast and maneuverable, the Hotch can't kill like a Puma/AC/M8/T17/anything, but costs the same. It's even more useless than a Stuart.
