If anyone can get me a good replay of an exciting game on road to carentan then I can shoutcast + videocast for promotional purposes Smiley.

Thanks!

Off-topic: Can you re-do your other maps Unk0wn to use the sector setup in this one if you think it works well with EIR?  I haven't had a chance to try it yet... Wink

Problem is it doesn't quite well for every map as it involves having big sectors.
I'll look into it though as I definitely think that we should at least apply a "less and bigger sector" system to all maps Smiley.

However keep in mind that if you redo all vCoH maps everyone wanting to play the mod would need to download these versions of the maps and thus it might make the mod a lot less accessible Smiley.

If not, me and other mappers will be creating these type maps from now on for sure as they seem to work out well.

I didn't say all vCOH maps, I said your maps.  Or that's what I meant.  The ones you created.

Oh sorry, misunderstood as someone suggested redoing some stock maps aswell Smiley.

I'm looking into it and i'll be creating new maps with this system as well although the horizontal sector/frontline system won't work on all maps I believe as it somewhat depends on the map's shape.

(If it's rectangular like Rails & metals, St.Hilaire... my Road to Carentan, Vierville, etc it works out a lot better than trying to apply it to maps with a square size like Pointe du Hoc)

in square ones you could have large sectors, like 4 of them, for the players to fight over. (ok four is not enough for a larger map but hey, might work)

Kinda off topic here but once its made will ALL custom made maps for EIR be on the downloader?  If it could be made to check for maps or check for new versions of the maps like the current loader does for versions of EIR it would be great.  This way all players have the maps that are used, or will be used for EIR.  Including other maps from other map creators that we have had permission to use.
