Well, there's always VBS2 - the military grade version of ArmA, developed by the Australian branch of Bohemia Interactive. Admittedly, that's mostly used by armed forces for training, but I seem to remember that it IS possible to buy licenses privately as well.

LOL I don't think anyone is going to pay £500+ for a VBS2 when they can get ARMA Operation Arrowhead which is coming this month or next for £30-£40 which has most of VBS2 features.

I didn't say it was cheap I just pointed out that you can technically get a bit more realism than ArmA 2 without joining any armed forces. But yeah, the BIA guys who held the VBS2 operator course I took a few years back did say that there are people out there who have bought private licenses.

Imo, you're missing the point. People play ArmA because its closer to a sport than a game. Yes, not much is happening 90% of the time, but when it does it's just so much more tense and exciting. It's like football (soccer if you're a yankee); there might be only a couple of goals in the 90 minutes, but when they come, fans scream as if their very souls have been released from the depths of hell.

And there always is the challenge of mastering an ultra-realistic game. Anyone can be good at COD, ArmA is a bit different.

I do that to every fucking basecamper in BFBC2 I shoot right between their eyes with marking pistol, so they are shining as dogs balls, until they finally change class or stop camping.

Maybe I'm wrong but sig showing sniper rifle in any game almost always means fagotty camper.

You want to be a faggy sniper? Well then the Spas-12 with Sabot rounds is all you need to get. Seriously its a right piss of to play against, all other guns excpet a sniper rifle are render obselete..so long as you can aim though.

I don't camp with my sniper rifle, I do what sniper are ment to do. Shoot n scoot cos if you stay in that position too long your either going to get counter sniped, arti on ur head or rushed by people with semi/full auto weapons.

Draken ur just been stereotypical by saying that cos my main weapon is sniper I must camp. You will actully find a few people that use sniper don't actully sit in a position for the entire game and im one of them.
