I haven't yet played as an american company so maybe I'm wrong, but the sherman's smoke ability would be really useful in EiR for helping your wounded tanks crawl out of harm's way. Would it be overpowered to give this ability to a few more of the tanks that had these canisters?

Maybe if smoke worked, sherman smoke is waste of munis imo.

Plasma shield is now so large it provides concealment against the enemy player, not just enemy units.

Actualy, smoke does a way better job at making sure you don't see the tanks you're microing as they get raped by the paks/marders than at actualy helping them live.

I think smoke should be buffed on shermans becouse I wouldn't even use it if it was for free!

Does smoke only work when units are INSIDE it? Or so long as there is smoke between you and the enemy shooting at you?

I used to use Smoke barrage on my Shermans...stopped it because it actually gave no use for the tank. So it became only use of Helping infantry. Imaginate Tier 3Mobile Cover and Smoke round. charge Sherman forward, pop smoke retreat a bit for inf to join along and charge haha- that is if the sherman makes it alive..

The smoke didn't really help my Shermans all that much...still got shot to pieces

Smoke is AMAZING when used right.

If you use it to cover inf it works, but the idea behind it is that it should protect the tank.

It does, it drops the amount of schreks that hit you by an amazing amount. Combine with vehicle cover for epic.

Ive only ever had sherman smoke work once the guy missed about 3 shots in a row, but even they they just chased the thing and once on the other side 1 shot it :/

Smoke is pointless because it reduces accuracy from incoming enemy and the sherman and friendly units as well.

Smoke scenarios.

[1] Sherman pops smoke. Sherman sits in smoke. AT unit and sherman exchange missed shots. Sherman still in worse off position due to having to take hits from AT units while in smoke and after smoke clears. BAD.

[2] Sherman pops smoke. Sherman runs away. Sherman gets hit once, then pops smoke, then runs. Same effect as if you were to click behind the Sherman immediately. Pointless.

[3] Sherman pops smoke. Sherman runs away. Enemy AT unit e.g. Panther chases. At most saves 1 shot. Enemy chasing AT unit runs past the smoke, smoke no longer effective.

Smoke has such limited utility that saving that 20 mun x 4 for like a BAR is more worth it.

I have smoke on all of my shermans and I don't find it so shit, I use it also as cover for my infantry when I want to throw nade on mg and clear it fast.
