Pretty much.

Eve is 90% grinding isk or doing nothing.

9% f1-f8ing in a fight a monkey could've won.

1% actual good fights.

Its full of bugs and bugs that have been turned into "features" and generally boring as hell.  Territorial warfare was the only aspect worth doing and that mostly involved sitting at a pos or lagging out in fleet.

Not that I'm a fan of WoW either.  During my 4 days of playing game I only had fun running the instances, the quests and grinding was pretty damn boring as well.

Why don't you go and try to fight a big alliance, or live through piracy in 0.0.

Dravidian, the reason being, is you don't have to grind, nor do you even have to be online to train skills.

Also, you LOSE stuff when you die, making it meaningful in a way. The game has a real economy, real politics, and something WoW players can barely comprehend, real consequence.

I was a bunch of small corps.  Ran around with a 3 man pirating corp for quite a while.

I dont need to live through piracy when I have a stupid amount of isk from grinding a highsec plex for a month.   For a while me and a few others monopolized the only source of decryptors/skillbooks for the gallente invention market.

Thats the other thing about eve.  If you didn't get lucky(t2 bpo), or hit it big in some other way, you're reduced to the worst grind in any MMO.

Big alliances can be fun, its just a differant type of game.  Theres more POS warfare involved.  Capital fights can be fun if there is actually a fight.  I enjoy it.  I also enjoy the small gang ops that we do.  IMO you get the best of both worlds in a large alliance.

I'm waiting to see how "Global Agenda" turns out for that kind of stuff. the Action aspect relates to FPS skills which have always been a strong suit of mine, and the Persistent strategic setting is another thing I'm great at. Hopefully it can fill the gap in my time nicely

Global agenda doesnt look anything like planetside, for one thing its lacking the giant battles.

The winter expansion is rumored to have something to do with 0.0 sov/alliance mechanics.  I am hoping for the best but I am guessing its just going to be more 0.0 space.
