 I would like to keep this thread focused on PE, so if you want to go and say how wrong people are or that they have it totally wrong and only were unlucky or want to discuss axis vs allies, make your own thread (poor mods will prolly get a lot of pms from me.....).

So, I would like to make a thread about PE in general:
What Doctrine do you use?
Does it hold up to your expectations?
What Doctrines did you choose and why?

How was your PE experiance so far, epic wins/rushes/losses and enemy forces that trouble you a lot?


I play the Scorched Earth doctrine.

The Doctrine is a little lacking in my view, too much concentrated on fire that isn t realy worth it in my opinion.


I choose Roadblocks, Booby-trap, Heavy Artillery, Sector Artillery

They are ok but very map dependant, boby trapped buildings are nice but it will not work good in churches and other big buildings, furthermore the more buildings there are the lower the chance gets for your traps to work. Roadblocks are nice if you have the time to set them up but I feel it being lacking in good doctrines after T2 (except Sector Artillery).

The Hummel only works if you babysit it and have a good flank/rush/para protection ready for it, works wonders on enemy blobs and at guns.

The PE units are very fragile (except a few) and thus die easily which makes it more difficult to gain vet if your micro is not awesome and any kind of blob will just shred your units. The AT Halftruck is one of the units I like a lot because it helps you kill of that pesky allied armor more easily and the Support Scout car is always a nice addition to help out allies and yourself. Also the Scout car seems to be the most useless unit I can find.

My worst experiance so far were the old brit boys at rifle spam that just obliberated my light vehicles and infantry.

My best experiance was breaking threw a desperate allied attempt to save a pershing and obliberating it (with my ally), though that cost the battle (being reckless sometimes is fun) it was one of the few where I realy had fun.

SE i was tank hunters and it was pretty good tbh, but i saw unknown try to nuke me with the t4 bomb thing and he failed miserably but i thought it looked minted and want to try it myself Tongue SE seems pretty crap tbh

Cool topic.  I have a Luftwaffe company and it's more than held up to my expectations.  I pretty much chose Luftwaffe because Luftwaffe Infantry are my favorite units in the game.  I love the doctrine tree because it does a lot of stuff for my Luftwaffe Infantry (I can give them G43 weapons, once the developers finish the ability I'll be able to equip them with mines, and the tier 4 ability I want to get makes them significantly stronger too)!  Other abilities (cloaking that little bike thing, supply drops, and the various abilities that make my guys that jump out of planes more awesome) are really awesome too.  I've had plenty of good and bad moments, but none of them are particularly interesting (there was a stretch of games where I lost my Panther EVERY GAME, that sucked).
