Im not sure if what was changed with the brits but in the last game I played against AMPM and DasNoob, we seemed to face totally random howitzer and morter shells dropping all over the map.

The morter shells were pretty useless but the howitzer shells were just way overpowered.  I had a unit sitting near the spawn and he didnt even have LOS on it and it got hit by a shell.  Lost a couple stealthed units as well to the random shots.

I think the spread is just way to wide, the shots are not concentrated at all.  I would rather them be more accurate and concentrated than having to deal with random 105 shells dropping all over the map the whole game.  Its quite annoying...

Random artillery shells gibbing your squads is not an annoyance, its stupid.

And yes earthshaker scatter way too much.

I suggest keeping the large scatter, but introduce a short(4-5 second) red smoke drop before dropping each shell.   That way you can at least dodge it if you are paying attention.

Right now its just completely random how it gibs squads.

lol the mortar thing is kinda crap. It's kinda like firing a bunch of mortar shells into an area, only good against infantry but it doesn't hit a single area enough to be effective, the earth shaker is very powerful and really random its all luck really.  Sometimes nothing hits y ou, then maybe next time everything hits you lol

Dafuq man, don't ask for proof if you'll refuse it if it's not in your favor, logic fallacy for the bloody win.

I like the Earthshaker, its fun, its effective.

The Mortar one is just fail though.

4-5 seconds is way too long for a single shell drop, maybe 2-3 seconds.

4 seconds is how long it takes for precision arty to drop, and you cannot dodge that with a support weapon.

So no, 4 seconds is not too long.

Just so I can get your stance clear, you're saying that precision artillery CAN'T be dodged?

Correct. He's said many times before that Precision Strike is undodgeable.
But I've seen is dodged by weapon teams before, thought admittedly it is rare.

Dodging precision strike completely with a weapon team requires it to start not set up.

I've seen AT guns get away from the middle of the red smoke before, though an MG/Mortar don't have too much of a chance.
And like I said, even that is rare, so I don't have a replay of it or anything.

If you're paying attention you can usually get an ATG out of the way, if a weapon team is setup it's very unlikely you will escape.

The reason Precision is considered so powerful though is because the weapon usually goes with the team and can't be re-manned. Mortar barrage won't destroy a weapon and earthshaker shells have to land spot on or hit them twice to also wipe out the weapon.

Lol what are you talking about.

Precision strike does 200 damage, thats not enough to kill an ATG or a MG, those have 300 hp each.

Earthshaker shells deal 300+ damage each, more than enough to kill a weapon in one hit.

I've never had a Mortar team or HMG survive and the weapon is always destroyed.
