The Vickers is underused given it's good field of fire and range. For the price of another factions MG you get a pair of emplacements. Blobs aren't the Brit's problem usually though.

I was talking about the support team though, and its "I pin you in green cover at max range" supression ability.

The vickers mmg is fine, it got the insta-pin button on a long cooldown but is useless when only using the "ordinary" gun.
MG42 is overall better IMO, but Vickers MMG is OK.

Who was saying that it was Underpowered? Probably the only British Infantry weapon that's still underpowered is the Rifle Grenade due to it's horrible accuracy.
Or is Smokaz just preclaiming another award for himself?

Riflenade rapes goat horn
I just posted this because I think the supression when the ability is activated is extremely nice, and I dont see british players using this enough =)
As for the british weakness, its heavy duty AT.. firefly is just so mong for pop and 6p wont fare too well against doctrinally buffed tanks

I'm always struggling for AT as Brits, I've had to rework it majorly to even keep tanks away, nm actually killing them. And the New PE ATHT is doing me no favours haha.
My American Battalion has no problems.

THe MMG team is IMO THE BEST HMG in game.
Why? SF ability, this thing will pin everything in its cone, and stuff thats not in it but close enough to get caught in the suppression. I had one get rushed by infantry, one squad got slightly behind it, the other was in front of it. I hit SF, shot the front squad, it pinned both.
Needless to say, it was lulz

If all units aren't in green cover it may take around 5-6 seconds to pin them.
The Vickers HMG punishes Axis Blobbing and supresses crazily. I'd still prefer the MG42 though, due to its longer range and always good supression and damage. Increase Recharge on Supression fire (or even make it a 20-30 munitions upgrade) if you really think its unbalanced.

Yeah riflenades are the pwn. Especially if you put them in trenches, they will rape everything coming at them.

Rifle nades are awesome when spammed in a huge blob of nade. 1 by 1, they're made of pure fail.

On a side note, the Vickers MG team is by far the best MG out there, even better than an HMG42 - no matter it's lower range.
