how is everyone doing?

I've been keeping up with the updates a little, although I've given most of the trolling, flaming and whining a miss. Seems that people still complain about off-maps, blobs and vet, just as before, which is probably more telling of a selection of the player community than the mod. What new changes since mid June do people like the most, and why? Similarly which changes do they feel haven't been so good and why?

Good arguments may hasten my return, so make your case well, even if it's for something you don't like. Aloha and BigDick need not reply, I've seen what they consider to pass for a well constructed argument, hehe.

Hey Osprey Wink

Well, from a development perspective - we're almost done with the doctrines, and a Doctrine selection reset (with refund) is slated for soon.

Offmaps are an issue, and theres a post here to discuss the future of them.

Airborne are currently spammable, as are some other elite infantry, and this may be because of reinforcement packages (which will change in the *full* reset, not doctrines)

Erm...
Lots of new units added recently.

Not sure what else to post tbh Wink

Shit I'm pretty sure you could offer the guy a cup of coffee and he'd try to kill you with the mug if you forgot sugar.

That's like offering Beer to fuck the fat chick. It will work for a while, but it's not gonna last. Not only that, but there is zero motivation for the Fat chick to loose weight.

Why don't you collect up your love beads and potpourri and find something constructive to do.

I found a fantastic CW counter to the "bullshit units" we had problems with in our games, pm me on vent and I will share it with you.

If you were on vent I would, I'll PM you through the forum.

I've contributed to the off-map thread EIRRMod, I hope my 'essay' wasn't too long-winded, but I tried to make my case as thorough as possible without being so drawn out that people wouldn't instantly dismiss my arguments (although I expect dismissal nevertheless) based on them being boring.

I have enjoyed reading some of the hot fix posts actually, various new unit intrigue me, although I can't really see the difference between Tommy Infantry and Canadian Infantry in the launcher, is it just a skin and sound file thing? I am honestly looking forward to playing again, although I still fear it will begin with a string of defeats before I rediscover the balance in my company.

In any case I will probably see through a good deal of August before I return, if not all the way to September as I previously stated. I'll be on a charity walk of Hadrian's wall from the 23rd to the 29th of August raising money for wounded UK service personnel returning from the Afghan and Iraq conflicts, so if I make it till then I will make it until the beginning of September. The longer the absence the longer I'll last before another burn-out, so to speak.
