The inherent problem, is trying to balance units that are not balanced for this type of game.

then make this game more like vcoh with Teirs incorporated into your companies.

say when you start off you are a low comander and only allowed basic units, then when you win a few games get points etc you get promoted and are allowed acces to more units and better upgrades.

(just an idea.)

Nah. EIR is trying to get away from that.

I think that % availability should be implemented ASAP in order to help assess such problems like gren spam.

i don't see that tiers work..

cosmo that really wouldn't solve anything, what happens when an axis hits tier 4 and unlocks everything and your ally is still at tier 2, you would be in MORE of a pickle then you are now.

what about new players joining the game later on, steamroller...

and fldash when you say X of unit you mean per company or what?

you still need to raise the cost anyways...

It means that not every axis player will be able to have a tiger if someone decides to stack them. Same for pershings, etc.

However I don't see availability affecting grenadiers drastically unless people really spam them Smiley.

... I computed the statistics on them last night.  They are definitely spammed.

id say im one of the few axis players who tries to balance his squads.. 30-35 volks grenadiers and 9-11 grenadiers per company, thats not a bad ratio and only 4-6 kch per company as well... mostly you see people ONLY buying grenadiers and upgrading them quite a lot..

I've been pondering on wether player/company specific availability would be better than country availability for some while and I'm slightly more in favor of the former. It comes down to if we want to enforce balance between companies more or between the axis/allies more. Having availability on both levels could be an option, but the system would be intricate and players will be very limited in their purchasing.

I believe units should be limited per company if you limit it per a side (axis/allies) then you will run into a problem of these two guys got 20 grenadiers and no one else got any.

Or you can do a combination of the both something like player x is allowed to use no more than 5% of the axis resources with said unit and no company can have more than 2% of the 5% he was alloted.

well they wouldn't really limit the riflemen and volksgrenadiers nor some of hte other basic units ie basic tank basic at basic manned guns...

atleast you would hope not

put limits on the

grenadiers
kch
stormtroopers
rangers
airborn
snipers
tiger
tiger ace
pershing
panther
calliope
etc etc...

things like that you know, so that when those all get used up atleast the armies are still functional with their basic riflespam and mg's / mortars and basic tanks (sherman/p4) and AT and armored cars

but they could still limit it per country aswell as per company, so that one person doesn't buy out all the good units and no one gets anymore.   have to be a %'g vrs how many players on the side, ie 80 german players taking resources from a static amount would kinda suck.. when say there is 120 germans vrs a game where there is 200 germans Smiley % all the way.

What if there is only a certain amount of gren squads for so many Axis players? Like, in reality, there were only around 300 Rangers for the Allies at one time or another.

this could work, since the doctrines allready sorta do it, newer players could just player other new ones, or play on teams with other higher players, in the new launcher with the battle rooms, could it incorperate the rank players have so you know if it is stacked or not.

Today i saw a column of 3 shermans moving up while scouting with  my storms for a calliope (that had been retreated off map.

I almost knocked out a retreating sherman, but in the end all I got was a greyhound.

It was interesting to see the sherman column pass, looked really cool and all. The only problem is of those sherman 76's only one came back from the fight alive.

Allied armor losses are getting costly. You can't keep the spam up like that guys! Play smart, use your units very conservatively. The allies are starting to hit back now and every game seems to be harder on my company.

I agree with skunker, ive watches replays of allies...howlitzering their own men...they seem to think riflemen are expendable so they just let them die as well, im seeing alot of allies use russian or japanese tactics....

Yes, I've been wondering for a while if the reason the axis are winning is because their players are actually better, or if axis is OP.  So far I guess it's the former, but it's still frustrating.
