So after doing some tests with the Pershing and Shermans the following was discovered:
1. Sherman:
No button can purchase these on shermans, no difference in sherman penetration with or without upgun when compared to non-AP shermans.

2. Pershing:
HVAP is purchasable for 50 mun. No other T4 costs resources.
No option to use HVAP rounds ingame
No change in gun penetration, Damage or range
Potential reduction in splash damage?

3. Ability
Salan please fully explain the T4 so we know what it does

I guess the button is hidden somewhere on the ui. Simple fix me thinks.

every single upgrade which is gotten through doctrines, unless its a global ability, which this is NOT, will cost you munitions to put on the units.

the only one that i know of that currently does not cost to be assigned to the vehicles is panzerfear, and that is because it was meant to be a global ability but I worried about how it was working so made it show up on the vehicles rather then the global bar.

And yes I know that the t4 is not explained completely, It was to be worked on through the price list and other documentation in 007.  Sorry for that.

Armor peircing rounds will show up for free on the sherman, WHEN you buy the upgun upgrade.  The only reason this is free is that is a huge price sink already.

the m10 and m18 can purchase the armor piercing rounds separately.

they give the AT AP round shot to all shots fired during their duration, and are vehicle specific, with a recharge timer.

HVAP is simply a gun conversion.  This means it takes away your pistol and gives you a new pistol. There is no fire for effect button, its 100% of the time active and not able to be turned off unless you ditch the upgrade. You will notice the upgrade kills your tanks splash damage for more tank killing power.  It will allow the pershing to take on heavier tanks, but restrict its use against infantry I suspect.

more like the difference between an M10 and a Sherman.

Coh-stats.com has the HVAP upgrade listed there, it is the same.

So its like the 57mm AP round...which means 25% damage, and penetrates 100% of the time?

The thing here is that the big pen bonuses are on things that you already penetrate 100%
The pen buff is actually only good vs Jagd, Tiger. where its around 80% but vs stug and panther only about 30%


But one thing specifically:
Pen vs a P4 with HVAP is 300%
In the test 2 shots out of the total 6 bounced off the P4.

Last time I checked 4/6 isn't 2.56 so I'm 100% sure that the entire ability isn't implemented since it doesn't show up on any other tanks either.

for the sherman, it gives 500% more penetration and 25% more damage. Which mean it'll always penetrate and gives you 109.25 damage.

Essentially this is for the tankspammer.
Next gen is for the vehicle/tank mixer

and double racks is for the boobhunter arty whore

So i guess onboard is for the pershing user then.

hm. So far no really good pershing T4s.... heat and german steel buff their heavy tank well.

If Fireflies are going to be part of the Reinforcement buy units in 007, will they have the ability to purchase AP rounds for the 17pdr?

HEAT rounds don't really buff heavy tanks...it buffs every tank. At least, I think that's how HEAT works. The round bonus is less than the AP round bonus, though.

its listed as  the upgun sherman only.. i'd say no atm?

wierd that it bounced twice uno.. if it was indeed 300% (which stats show) then it shouldn't be doing that.

I know for a fact the gun does get upgraded.. you can see it pop on when the tank enters the field  ( up arrow per upgrade) and you can notice a huge difference in its infantry killing.

I think the game itself allows for critical failures though, meaning even with 1000% you COULD still .. mess up.

I think there is a potential for things like german steel to say:

so 300% pen from his end... well 15% deflect on my part so I say I can deflect you! and the shot bounces.

Which kinda makes the HVAP (all AP) stupid since the pen increase gets ignored by the enemy tank.

I'd still like to see the superpershing....
+30% damage +15% (+6 feet ) range, new skin with a big superman sign. It would complete armour doc by creating a T4 that gives a good buff to the tank.

Hmmm I might have noticed it off the pershing if it's passive, but I can definitely say it's not showing up for the sherman upgun currently if its a graphic UI problem.  The ability works really nice with the hellcat from what I saw, almost let me solo a panther with it as it stays active for at least 4-5 shots.
