Also developer guests that players don't normally get into touch with would be nice. I'm hinting at Phil and naradaman.  Wink

Cozmo, how about making it a 3 person show with multiple guests.

Honestly I love shoucasting, I don't want to miss out on it. I'll make some cool photoshop posters for it Wink.

3 people isn't cluttered  Huh

Honestly, for someone who did the first shoutcast it's like I'm an alien Wink.

If I can't get in on this then i'll just try and work on the signal magazines/newspapers.

Run your own show! It'll be a rivalry! Show these noobs how its done!
Bribe devs into giving you inside info on future changes.
Offer unimaginable pleasures to the top players to come be guests on your show!
Make hidden jokes about the effeminate voices of your rivals.

It'll be great!

To be honest I'm a bit irked, considering I was the first person to actually shoutcast, and can't be on the bi-weekly/weekly shoutcast.

Not only would it be a great thing to talk about and perhaps invite the top 5 leaderboard players (for each side).

Since it is frontline news it would be wise to talk about the war itself, including how many territories each side has, and potential reasons for this, including # of players. Examining the frontline news would be good for laying out basic strategy that each side's commanders may use so that players can understand the logic(with the warmap later this will be what frontline news is good for. Allies have 60 sectors is less of a good frontline news item than 'Ardennes Overrun!').

Balance discussion would be great to hold, here it would be good to have someone like ucross or forefall as a guest as well so they can chip in what the devs are doing to combat known issues. Balance discussion in my opinion would be a great way to talk casually about Europe in Ruins and draw attention to key problems. In that way you can both make the game better and hold the interest of players.

Map discussion would also be good, frequently reviewing maps released that week will draw attention to them and ensure that they are played.

There are many other things to do, including formal discussion of major patches, and implications of balance changes.

Phil if it comes down to that I could, but why? It'd just be detracting from efforts to build the community in my opinion.

Three is a great # of voices to have in the mix. Trust me, 3 voices with guests, all organized in an orderly fashion will hold listeners attention. Whenever I think of what's a drag about a show it's usually subtle things you can't notice.

What is it about 3 people that gets you so upset cozmo? I think I have dibs on it anyways since Unkn0wn and I were the first to consider shoutcasting.  Really if anyone should be host it is Unkn0wn.

It's a community show by the community and for the community and thus a lot of people should and I'm sure will get on it frequently Smiley.

I think it's better to have different people doing "categories".
You can have a weekly "News from the frontline for both axis & allies", a weekly "Mapwatch", A weekly devtalk or "ask the dev". etc etc Smiley.
