Based on what would be the something like the Spring/Summer before the battle of the bulge.  OMG has a Foy in their catalog to, but that map is a modification of St. Winn and is in teh winter and much differant from my map.

It sees one side starting in the open fields on one side of Foy, and the otehr team starting in the forest around foy.  Similar to the way it looks in the TV series band of brothers.

I've got it roughed in, I'm in the part of map creation where I need to splat averything and put in the fine details.

Pictures:

Maybe I'll be looking for people to try it out later this week.
I need to finish up my other map too.

One thing I can't help but notice, and it's hard to tell from just a few pictures, is that the building placement greatly favors the players who spawn on the left.

I know what you mean.  The question is, will that give the left side that big of an advantage.

I could always mess around with building health, to make them crumble more easily, I'm not done putting things in to make sure the people on the right have enough cover.

Its more important to have sight blockers to hide your tanks from AT guns than it is to have equal buildings.

But ultimatly the problem originates in the fact I'm building a map based roughly on a real life place and battle.  The Allies had to storm accross those fields to take the town.  I'll mess with it more though.

Looks quite nice. Are you using Band of Brothers as your visual reference, or the actual Foy? The current one is has been quite drastically developed from it's pre-war state, but I see no harm in using the BoB episode as a reference. Call of Duty did it in the first game.

Incidentally, I'm all in favour of the 2v2/3v3 element. I think it'd be better if more new maps were made to accommodate multiple game sizes.

I'll use my germans who don't do anything but look at the allies in a startled state.

Its based mostly from the BoB episode, but I got the road layout kinda from the modern Foy.

If anything the people on the the right have teh at gun advantage  should their enemies get cocky and rush tehm out there in the fields.  But the left will have a building advantage.

I put 4/6 players again because I think its big enough, but I'm not sure.

How big is chatau?
