The reason why massed StuGs isn't that good for volks-sturm is fairly simple, really.

You're paying far too much manpower in the StuGs to be able to get a respectable amount of volks - P4s are likely by far the better choise for a proper volks-sturm company.

I ran with 5 StuGs 2 88s and 2 paks last war with all my fausts(no mines tho)... Dunno, sometimes still felt overwhelmed by tanks.

but i could swear in your volksturm company you ran all volks and stugs, so why shouldn't someone else?

5 stugs, tym. By "Massed stugs" I meant the actual maximum you can get - which is 11.

I have 7 stugs in mine and I think Armfelt have 8 in his. I have used 2 panthers before and that worked fairly good but then you have lesser folks on the map.

You could have done a lot with your quads if you had used them right. And yes our battalions was a great counter to yours.

to the companies

one had his munitions into skirts and stug top mg42 and the other one in mp40

what worked better?

and i never saw a stug repairing that made me sad Sad poor suicide stugs

but i think some volks companies work only because u never retreat and care about vet like most vet whores (e.g. tym) does in that mod  Roll Eyes

wow that remember me to the old original EIR where people did less vetwhoring and 3v3 and 4v4 games went down to 1 men squads trying to cap

fuck hell i even remember when snipers could cap and i lost a game because Leafs vet3 axis sniper was the last remaining unit on field that could cap

actually rifles get the same xp requirements and a better weapon to upgrade
volks are more difficult to vet up then rifles

I am currently using 29 volks 3 osts and 2 p4s.

The volks are your AT. Stugs are unneccessary.

Dunno who you've been playing Sach - but most people eventually begin reversing from your fausts. StuGs aren't mandatory - but paks/88s definitely are if you want to lure the enemy into fausting distance.

They can reverse all they like, you just run over their front lines. Its human wave brother!!!

Also, what doc do you use?

I'm going lightning War and basing my whole strategy on beating the opponent before i run out of volks.

ahh defensive, i want to get fatherland defense, grenades on my volks and faster recharge on the faust.  as well as the officer buff and a few other things to add to em.

Omniscience, grenades, 88s, cloakstugs, MI and rocket arty. I know rocket arty sucks, but still!

Well sach - it's ok if they keep on reversing - but if they're smart : they reverse for about 5 feet before they begin rolling forward to rape your face as your fausts get wasted.
