people are spamming light vehicles, snipers, officers, etc.

since this new system i didnt enjoy a single game anymore.
why was the supply system even changed? was there a problem with it?

its not that thats sucking the fun outta the game for me, but the little too no reward for progressing a company, before EIRR you looked forward too an awesome T4 (cause the present ones are like Veir T2's) and the buildup of RBs to have exceptionally enjoyable company's where you could tailor the company to your playstyle, also Brits get boring too fast, far too fast.

thx brad, now i get it.
you can almost do anything you want right now, and try out much more different things.
only if we are getting this freedom, it should be just a bit more, becouse right now i cant make a battalion without light vehicles, i need to pay pps then.
and special units should cost pps

it will be much harder to balance the game tough.

all i see with this new system are a lot of problems.
people are spamming light vehicles, snipers, officers, etc.

Funny thing is I have now been accused of light vehicle spam after games and I do bring about twice as much light vehicles as before simply because i used up my armor and infantry availabililty so fast all i have left to choose is light vehicles and support (which you cant bring without munitions)

On the other hand I have actually learned the value of light values and have won several games because I had the light vehicles.  So all in all I like the new system.

As for what was wrong wtih the old system, well at a certain point it became more prone to exploits.  Like right before the beta ended, the latest exploit was pioneer/goliath spam which was preceeded by Puma spam.  I mean the devs would reduce the cost of an item by 10 munitons or lower the pop cap by 3 and the next morning some players had come up with a way to exploit it.

Now with the availability system these type of units are contained in a category of similiar type or units so instead of simply not brining a Marder so you can bring 4 Puma for the same pop cap, now you would have to give up 4 IHT or ATHT.

You now have more freedom as the units itself are not capped at a limit before they cost PP but instead you have a pool for different unit types in which you are free to mix things up.

This system is far superior to the old one imo.
More freedom in unit choice means different builds again.
So for example, we wont see every infantry player always getting 14 rifles and 4 rangers like it used to be.
Diversity is win.

The new system is by no means perfect and we are still working towards fine-tuning, these next few patches.

System needs complete freedom such as vEiR or no/low freedom, like the unit availability system.

The 'complete freedom' of vEIR was only temporarily as the availability system was taken out in preparation of a 'better one' to be introduced with 2.0. Complete freedom in vEIR lead to many issues, I don't see how the current system could be any worse than allowing users complete freedom.
