so we have different tasks to do

1. someone who plays a good game and posts the replay (maybe smokaz, gamesguy...)
2. someone who makes a one minut or so intro/end sequence with EiR mod advertisement (baine)
3. people who know something about EiR/CoH and reviewing that replay as an audiocast (EliteGren + killer344 Cheesy )
4. someone with a good pc who makes a video and put all this crap together (Huh)

elitegren can do video editing, but give him credit or he will sit outside your window starting at you with his big puppy eyes until you do it

I'm not sure if i have enough room for that to record. And recording the audio apart from the video is difficult and is not as good as the guy talking recording it.

OMG tried it in one of theirs and from my POV it failed, as the guy talking was most of the time not synched with the thing you could see.

We need one to record the shoutcast with you as coHost.

here's how I would do it:

1.  some people play a epic game
2.  one or two guys shoutcasts this game, audio only
3.  a third guy fraps the replay
4.  third guy syncs the audio and the frap
5.  guy that shoutcasts takes credit

But you can't talk :O

If we don't have anyone that can talk AND record video then EliteGren is the last hope!

It's not too hard to synchronise seperate audio on a video file, you just need to ensure that the audiocasters count down before starting and mention game time once in a while.

2 guys shoutcast it on ventrilo. The guy who is going to fraps it can sit in the same vent channel while making the video.

That would save alot of time and trouble with adding the audio file to the video without it desyncing or something like that.

Anyway, it seems like there is overwhelming community interest in this project and I think it shouldn't be too hard to get more than 1 'duo' together for an audiocast. The only real problem it seems is finding someone with the knowhow and time to videocast it.

It doesn't have to be a video, audiocasts can be fun (see GR) but they're for internal community use only where as videos are some of the best PR tools.

The day Elitegren (And killer, draken, etc) get a microphone is the day I'll stop wearing pants.

If Osprey and me find a game we like, elitegren can do it easy. its much easier for the shoutcasters to just send over a audio file than even thinking of moving those huge ass FRAPS files around.

the team just watches it individually so they know what to expect a bit and its equally dissapointing if the shoutcasters personally didnt like it, you'll hear that much in their voice as well

I can do the video, but it would be much easier for me to fraps it while Im listening to the shoutcasters myself so I see which point on the map they are focusing on so I can follow with the camera and record the audio at the same time. If thats not possible ok, I just need the audio file so I can add it to the video later on.

However, the true problem is to get a game worthy a shoutcast :p.
Quality will be around this good, but im sure I can get out more with the right settings and codec.

Not watching the replays beforehand is usually best indeed (or worst case scenario only have the co-host view it) but then you have to have some credible replay 'rating', else you might just end up with a crappy replay to shoutcast. People who played in the replay usually have a different perception on how 'exciting' a game was so you shouldn't always trust the person who posts a replay until multiple others concur it's great stuff.

Shoutcasters should be avarge players so we won't hear, "omg, why he is idling there, I would do it 10 times better, he is not dodging nades etc."

That has more to do with a good/bad shoutcast than the replay.

The game that is going to be shoutcasted should not be watched by the shoutcasters beforehand, but rather wait for some comments on the replay or let someone else watch it first and hear his opinion about it whether its worth it or not.
