I think he meant the slow side of the battlefield.

In future I must remember to oil my chair, and touch nothing that makes any noise...

I liked it, only Osprey could have been a little louder, it's hard to understand him with ingame sounds.
Other than that you guys seemed to have a good overview of what was going on. But for the next shoutcast i hope we can get you a more action packed game Tongue

actually the replay was "actionpacked" and i don't saw that many mistakes from axis except maybe rocksitter sitting his rock on left side

it was just the huge amount of superior allied units and doctrines (even without micro) raping everything (and maybe a bit bad luck on axis side like vet3 grens oneshooted by a sherman or sniper oneshooted by attack ground pershing...)

it is more the current situation of eir made this replay looking like a stomp

Ditto, I hadn't read it back to myself after I typed it, maybe I should have.

Yes, my volume in the shoutcast was a bit low, but as you can hear, we fixed that by the time of the podcast.

Was a little chaotic with 3 people but it was definitely a pretty successful first attempt overall, well done!

Well I watch shoutcasts to get idea's on how to use unit and how not to. Also nice to know what tactics people use so when I go up against them I can counter them and use them in my games.

No we just need to give them an easy link with a video already streaming and not download.

I disagree, I know for a fact that these videos are very popular and a great way of attracting new players.
This is because unlike vCOH you could argue that EIR is a lot more action-packed. (In the assumption that you're shoutcasting a good game) It also gives people the best possible representation and insight of the average EIR game.

It was a very nicely done shoutcast, and the game, if not the best of the century, was quite an interesting one. It was pretty fun to play, and I actually enjoyed watching it more than I enjoyed playing it - which is VERY rare for me - I usually rather detest watching Wink.

''Hey people. I've lurked on the board for a while now watching the mod. I've seen the 4 shoutcasts that are in the video section and would really like to give the mod a go.''

A good game is very hard to come by, though, because the temptation to camp and fight for position instead of killing the enemy is very high.

A good game in CoH is far more likely to have more fighting because losing a unit is less consequential and you're more willing to attempt a trade.

Good games of EiR do exist, but they're more rare. However there is no better way than a replay to show the basic game and how it's played.
