However, the Grenade assault ability that the volts use can turn the tide in these types of battles. And the fact that they run really close to the rifles while showering them with nades dosn't help :/

Thats my personal opinion, due to the fact I nearly always go blitz, I do not fear the BAR against my Volts and Sturm Squads  Grin

in my opinion the german grenades are rubbish, ive never killed anyone with them, although i dont play much as the axis so my experience with them is not that good and so it might be possible to easily kill with them.

Its not that the nades are good, they are the crappest thing in the whole German arsenal. But I see the point of the devs for not making it like a Pineapple. Throw one at your own riflemen squad and see what happens... (The riflemen squad gets raped so hard its not funny, spread out, they lose 5 members, clumped, they lose everyone without a sweat)

The Assault nade ability removes any Pin and also makes the Volts throw 7 nades at the enemy targeted. The nades suck but 7 of them will do quite a bit of damage, possibly stalling the riflemen allowing the volts to run in with their quick assault run and distory the rilfe squad without taking alot of damage. Works better in vanilla if there is more than 1 squad Tongue

I believe that the AP round cost is too high. The cost for one burst is equivelant to buying two bazookas...

Yeah, the ap burst is a little high. However, the ranger squads' munition cost is too low.

But bazookas are the weakest of the weak...they don't even do recognizable damage with front or side shots. Even rear shots are off-putting. And they have horrible accuracy modifiers at anything besides point-blank range. Which means...the poison Stug.

Perhaps its time to get rid of the stickie from Private Ryan (wtf is that thing doing in this game") and introduce the gammon bomb!

"the Germans launched a counterattack led by three tanks against Canquigny. Lt. Levy and his handful of men fought it off for over an hour. They managed to disable two enemy tanks with Gammon grenades (how the yanks loved that British grenade; it was the best anitank weapon they had, far superior to their own bazookas - if they could get close enough)"*

Another novelty item for us, a bit for the realism buffs and moreover a good bit of fun!

I don't think so. Mobility is the only thing Allied tanks have.
However, increase the panzerfaust damage to 1.5-2 times the vanilla power. In reality, those things devastated Allied tanks; the Allies would capture them just to get an antitank weapon that could actually kill a Axis tank.

I wasn't talking about tanks but Gammon grenades  Grin

Whatever it is, it has to add to the fun factor, not so much realism.

Sorry for the confusion. I accidentally skipped a part of my reasoning.

1: Allied tanks are weaker than Axis Tanks. (The only Allied Tank strong enough to go toe to toe with a Panther is the Pershing of the Armor doctrine.)
2: Allied tanks are more mobile than Axis Tanks.
b: Allies seem to focus on mobility, not power.
3: Stickies take away Axis Tank mobility.

I was trying to say that stickies seem to follow the Allied philosophy that mobile, (relatively) weak tanks defeat powerful, yet slightly unweildy killing machines.

Besides, Paratroopers were the forces who used Gammon bombs. And Paratroopers already have grenades and Gammon bombs. The Gammon bomb is the "Satchel Charge" 0.o .
