For as long as I can remember there has been more active axis players than active allies. One of the main reasons for this is the survivability of axis units and the increased enjoyment of vetting a company. The exceptions that prove the rule being Airbourne, Rangers and (old skool) On Board Mechanics companies.
We need more players playing Allies without buffing their in game abilities, how about free 100 pps on new allied companies or increased pp gain in general?

More like people play axis because of people liking playing the bad guys/being closet nazis/like the cooler unit speech and stuff.

I honestly have scarce hopes for anything working, alot of the axis only players are just madly in love with the faction itself. Hell even I who advocate playing americans think wehrmacht has cooler sounds and units. Are they always more fun to play? Hell no. But yeah, giving allied accounts a bigger gain in PP would possible make it more excusable to go start up a allied account whern you are sitting there in your game and theres no allies around. The extra gain would have to be significant though, 200% pp would not be problematic in my eyes. Even 300% would be fine. its not like we couldnt do the same for wehrmacht players.. if we ever ran out of those.

Noo thats wont help anything, Axis are cooler, no doubt, although i enjoy playing my Airborne account cuz of my new skins i put in for airborne and overall Allies Inf. Unless you implemented "Aussie Diggers" infantry in brits than i wouldnt be intised so much in playing them, but that said, if Aussies were in the game i will play them just because there Aussies. and they sound like aussies and look like aussies and kick butt like aussies. Yay im now no longer bias to Axis, Aussie Bias ftw! lol

or possibly adding those rifle assault squads... i love my riflemen but having another type of infantry that isn't elite would be awesome.

The biggest difference is the rifle-grenadier-volk-kch problem :O Rifles fulfill the role of three different wehr infantry units. That leads to wehrmacht having more options, and people like options. They should make another competition about the best submittal for what a American "kch" type of unit would be like. Some kind of ranger inspired assault unit with some kind of cool ability like assault grenades. Marines, five man squad with thompsons and heroic armor. Could have a darker hue of green or navy blue type of uniforms, or even black. The green berets. They didnt actually wear green berets, but they were the first british trained american commandos. I'm sure there are other ideas for a smaller man squad of sniper immune american assault infantry, thats what it all boils down to I think.

You're smoking crack if you think there are enough allies most of the time.

Honestly, give US a resilient main-line infantry unit that's less potent than AB riflemen, but better than the average rifleman.
How about a 5-man, 70 health per man squad, infantry armour equiped with a faster firing and more damaging garand(33 percent buff to ROF and dmg), with the ability to equip the guy with either a single RR/dual zook or a 2-BAR package, as well as a grenade. It would be kind of simmilar to a grenadier-type unit, while still being americana!

Mirror mirror on the wall Variety is often quoted as the a reason why allies aren't being played. The other reason: Coolness factor of Axis. Hmm. Hard to beat that.

Then people would ask for the two remaining armies to be merged.

Hard to beat that. yes and if we follow some suggestions we fix this (imho non existent) problem by making allies OP or giving allies free doctrines and to the variety: they have maybe not that much unit types in terms of non doctrinal infantry (but doctrines give them ranger, airborne) but the variety is how this infantry can be used and equipped (with very powerful upgrades) to fill special roles and i disagree rifleman are awesome infantry and actually the last time i used kch was ages ago..even my blitz account has zero storms

Isnt there ANY good models of new alleid units floating around? Is there just more proof of wehrmacht love in coh, like the frankenpanzer, the howitzer emplacement, the jagdpanzer, the panzerjagd, the panzerhowitzerfrankenjagd.
