Yea but before you pack up you want to make sure your area is clear.  Usually I won't pack up unless I've moved units forward and know I'm clear for a bit.  Listening to the map helps.  Another great time to pack up is right after you've won an engagement that seemed to have consumed a large amount of your enemy's forces.

Also, didn't we already establish that the emplacement can shoot while it's packing up, but it just can't auto-fire?

1 M.I. and a pack of Puddin's Pumas would prove you wrong sir.

And yes, I do not know why I defend this. The gun fires, I am happy. Even though I do not use them now, since my brit playstyle has changed since the time I posted the first post.

I don't think 17 pounders are very good versus pumas anyway.  They would probably still dance around and dodge your 17 pounder whether it was set up or not.  A bofors, on the other hand, would make all the difference in the world.

Bofors suffer from the same pack up problem.

But now, I know I can fire them, so it's ok.

Think ill lock this cause its no longer relevant.
