well yeah it will

but most people are running t3 fuel for armor company and using at least 1 pershing + a combo of t17's/m8's/quads/m18's/m10's

you really don't need more then 5-6 rifles lol

I run carbines (with 17 riflesquads) and I usually have a k/d of more than 1.  It depends though.  Usually if you win you get a good k/d.  Usually if you get rocked you have a very bad k/d.  In the end, k/d doesn't mean anything (sometimes I wish it did, though, as I've had some pretty nice scores).  Vet gained, vet killed, the result of the game (win/loss), and your overall  impact on the game matter more.

No offense to anyone in this thread (especially mgallun) but this reminds me of people on myspace who posts a picture and says "I'm soooo ugly" and only does it so people will comment their picture saying "No you're pretty!" "Hey beautiful!" "Don't say that!  You're super pretty!"

Mgallen,

Everyone that started out was not good.  This game is very micro intensive and can take time to learn.  EiR is completly differant than vCoH as well.  It takes time to learn.

Also keep in mind that if your just starting, It is difficult to win with a lvl 1-5 account against lvl 8 accounts with vetted up units and T4's.  Losing in these games has no bearing on your skill.  Sometimes the T4's, Heavy Tanks, and vetted units are too hard for a new account to overcome.

Post up some replays so people can see how you are microing your units. A while back you sent me a message asking for tips on an american company, I replied to that message but can't see that I have received anything back.

My original armor company this war featured 2 calliopes, 22 rifle squads with stickies, and other crap.
Then i had a 3x Pershing one, 26 rifles(and a lot of MGs - my ifnantry pool went out).
Now i'm fielding 6 shermans, and I still have somthing like 12 rifles and other random shit.

its not really a post hoping for people to say, oh, your not bad etc.. its basically a apology to anyone who plays with me and we lose and i play like a booger.. lol.

it has nothing to do with my company, its just micro, or placing my dudes in red cover and getting raped, or just playing on both sides of map and being to slow to move around

Currently i have

5 Rifles with Bars\Nades
6 Rifles with Zooks
4 Rifles plain jane

3 Rangers with Thompsons

1 Motar
3 Hmg
1 Engineer with Triage and mines
3 57mm with AP rounds

2 M18
2 Shermans

2 Howis.

i currently have all the Tier 1s
1 tier 2  ---  Zooks

2 manpower and 2 mun advanatages

so i working on getting my T3.. i want the Art Fort, vet3 howis with that would probably own..   but still not sure what to get on my other T2 and T3.. and of course either carbines or TR for t4.

again my advice...as you saw yourself you failed with your playstyle....

why are you continuing with this arty shit?

get rid of it and get as inf company

T1: bravery
T2: concussion nades and Officer and maybe heavy weapons
T3: Allied Grid and stacking shells
T4 m1 carabines

since you have selected 105 howi as T1 get max. 1 for your company
get 4 shermans maybe 1 m10
get 4 at guns (all with ap rounds)

get 1 mortar and one or 2 HMGs
get one ranger squad with thomsons

spend the rest of your manpower into riflemen with bars or concussion nades

Why the fuck do you have rangers with SMGs?
3 of them?
Those 3 squads eat up 1/3rd of your munitions, why do you even keep them around - they're failtastic units of unlimited fail. Sell them with their absolutely worthless SMGs, and buy yourself 22 concussion (or pineapple) nades instead, and begin raping the shit out of anything.

Oh yes concussion nades are fun, they totally block a unit from retreating(and while retreating) for like 10 seconds.

Concussion grenades WITH SMGs is total rape, it allowed my rangers to actually kill things until they got their T4 Tank Reapers ability.

Stunlocking enemy units so they can't retreat and running up to them to quickly kill them with SMGs will net your rangers some nice XP, and how I mainly managed to get 3 VET 3 rangers before I got my T4 since their bazookas are failtastic till then.

My company, I run about 14 ranger squads, 5-6 with SMGs and the other non SMG to escort them for additional bazookas.  And don't even bad mouth the howitzer!  I run 3 howitzers in my company and they are a blessing to enemy artillery/weapon support spam, great against the mass blobs of endless waves of volk and grenadier spam, as well as decent against blobed vehicles (my leaderboard howie managed to take out a KT, panther, several P4s and crippled a few marders/pumas/gwagons for rangers to sweep up).  Of course, don't bring out the howitzers all at once, you still need to put up a fighting force to screen the howitzer and spot for it, but man it's nice.

If I could redo it all, I'd get rid of Allied Grit and go for mobile cover plus artillery fort. for T3, I don't like relying on vulnerable ATGs with stacking shells, and who in their right mind buys AP rounds for such a fragile unit unless you got extra ammo tp spend?  They don't carry over to the next crew and are lost when that ATG gets mortared or alphastriked by shreks or blown away by tanks...  Cry

Stacking shells is garbage imho.. after seeing tyms use of mobile cover i may get that instead of howi buff..

meh, AP rounds can really turn away anything smaller than kt or jagd.. Last night i hit a panther with 1 AP round and it dropped it from say 90per health to lower than 50per health.. nothing like guranteed penetrating and 25 extra damage.. i would prefer, say the T3 of stacking shells give you that stuff for say free, on all your hmg and 57mm.. or just the 57mm, that would be useful, the current t3 is garbage.

In terms of munitions strain, the 3 rangers strain you for about as much as 10 tetrarchs would Wink.
Sell the thompsons, then, you'll get 520 munitions. Still enough for 520/30 = 17 nades and a minesweeper.

how does that work with concusion and regular grenades? can you buy each? so have like 4 nades on 1 squad?

5 M1 Carbines Rifles with nades, con nades and zooks and stickies sounds intersting lol...  blob.
