This is one battle you can't afford to not watch... because I promise you: you will be entertained.

 O4b (armour rank 8 )/CrazyWR (armour rank 8 ) (Allies) vs. Camshaft (Terror rank 8 )/WindCriesMary (blitz rank 8 ) (axis)

***Fresh from the pages of Der Sturmen*** (propaganda newspaper translated from German)

Breaking News!

From the western front comes the latest news of a collosal panzerkrieg in and around the small hamlet of Bergen. Just hours ago two huge allied armour divisions collided with two elite panzer divisions of our glorious wermacht.  Little time was set aside for the delightful niceties of defensive positions, support weapons, or combined arms exchanges in this battle. Mostly, instead, all was chaos in a maelstrom of tanks and tank destroyers roving the cratered farmland and ruined streets of Bergen. Weaving in, weaving out, shooting, moving back, circling, ambushing... every combination of tactics that could possibly be involved was employed.

But the allied tanks were alarmingly prepared for the engagement, employing new weapons and tactics as of yet unseen by the brave, yet outperformed tanks of our glorious nation. So long used to supremacy against their allied counterparts, mighty panzers were trapped and destroyed from all angles. Clearlythese were no mere rookie allied tank crews with their typical clumsy reload rates and accuracy terrorizing the fields of this cursed town. These were tank destroyers and mighty pershings with highly experienced, crack trained operators using new firepower our forces had not anticipated!

With a fury unseen from the americans in their known experience, our brave german soldiers (whom had hitherto considered the yankees poorly trained, motivated, and ill-equipped for real war) found their beloved german panzers bursting into flames left right and center. Even the mighty tiger seemed to find itself surrounded and destroyed within merely a few, horrifying moments.

It was at this time, with the dual pershings (with their deadly veteren crews) entrenched firmly along the causeway towards Bergen that a demand of surrender was delivered to the belaugered axis commanders: "retreat, you have no hope." And thus, when the full might of the innumerable armored columns seemed to come with no end, all was certainly lost. It was a dark day for germany.

And yet, with all this to be painfully apparent to our generals the response returned to the Allied commanders was merely thus: "Never retreat! Never surrender!".

They would fight on, refusing to kneel or bow. And though defeat and death was certain, they would rather die gloriously than give in to the enemy dogs.

 And die gloriously they did.

Their sacrifice shall echo for eternity.

Tons of action, no camping here...meeting engagement starts things off with a bang, and it doesn't stop for 23 minutes...

[spoiler alert]

Meh.  Frustrating...I shoulda got rid of my Sherman quicker and brought in infantry...like he said, we had plenty left, mostly mine.  Horrible loss honestly.

nice write up wind... Grin lol
gg guys...
hellcats and stags were ruthless.... Shocked (even without the 5%bug)
pershings were devastating....(especially with the OBM)
p4's with horrible accuracy...
the only strategic maneuvering we had left was to surround the enemy and get behind its front line, forcing the retreat.... (as per the game mechanics, lol)
