Groundfire im guessing your referring to LAIRE right. cuz i kno theres no such thing as Magic in SCA haha. if so good for you, i cant get into that kind of stuff personally.

Actually, what I played was to my understanding called LARPing (Live Action Role Playing), so it was more a "dress up and play WoW" thing. Hence, why they had mages with fireballs and stuff.

Much less historical, many more special rules. Essentially the same thing as LAIRE, but you got your role to play. (Monks can physically punch ppl, and catch swords with their hands without injuring themselves)

Anywho, it was fun, dont think id do it again tho. Ill just stick to paintball if i want to injure ppl with fake weapons.

I remember me and my mates used to get giant sticks and lunch in primary school and swing them at each other till one day i knocked one of them out cut his head open, along with some other guy we knew setting fire to all the bins in the park and next day seeing the cops around we decided to stop.

Thats nothing, in secondary school a kid who is a heronist now once threw a chair in my head so they had to glue my scalp together with boxer's glue. Wimps.
