Operation Flash Point Dragon Rising
«

Really intense game! I just played it,
Video
Multiplayer is awesome,Guns are realistic(In the sense that you shoot it doesn't go straight it actually curves with distance, same thing with sniper)
Bassicly Multiplayer is a buncha guys playing Squad Command (As well as FPS) I belive there is a top commander and serveral lower commands you control driffrent squads like A Sniper Squad,Engineer Squad,Special Tactics squads ect ect..
Anyone here have it?

It's not worthy of the OFP Title.
It basicly feels like a Port , (Console -> PC )
Thats how it handles aswell , Not many options , not many tactics, Like playing an RTS on a console,
Everything is limited, most options are under 1 key then use the ASWD to scroll around (Again console!)
Not to mention the bugs , sloppy net code, almost no story line , Small missions , small OP's
Give the org OFP or ARMA II a try for some real intensive combat. Aka Mil-Sim
Again i will say , For anyone who has played OFP this is not the same thing.

But i do have it.

True but it remains in the OFP Spirit , Wich is completely gone in Dragon rising
i just prefer complicated , realistic shooters instead of the Quake variant
wasnt Red Orchestra a mod?

Red orchestra sucks, I've played it for 2 years almost
The game is awesome to be honest i like the WASD it makes it alot faster
It just takes getting use to
So like an attakc command would be something like Q D A W,And you just sorta remember that.
It has alot of tactics its just really depends on if your using your 2nd squad or your main squad
I noticed you can't give single unit orders to secondary squads only primary ones...Thats the only problem i found.

The orginal Layout didnt have that problem , But after some Coop's
Here are some other annoying bits,
Try Switching to secondary ammo with Grenades it took me 6 min to get my Smoke G's out
bug,
Small ref pic of the old system , small pic tho , its the comm menu for a Non SQL/Officer (3 Main options each holding several Sub options)
Wich where Eerrr
Medic
Negetive
Confirmed
<target> Down
<target> Spotted
Out of ammo
Need ammo
Need Repair
And so on
Just a flip window Backspace to open and close , works with 1 to 10 Bkspace , 8 , 7,4 All units danger!!
And ofcourse Squad members under F1/F12
i just hate consoles , Their Ghey
Anyhoe Hit me up when you got your shit sorted , we'll do a coop together ..or il just TK , Kill an a TDM

I disagree; I think that now that all of the bugs are fixed if you can overlook atrocious voice acting and an occasional physics bug then ARMA 2 is a fine game.

i have it too and tried it in multiplayer
sure arma2 looks better and you have more possibilities but the bad performance kills most usual hardware
and it has still problems with problems with its LOD
OFP2 is maybe no combat simulation but its ok good mixture between action and simulation

It's a good mix i think. I like it. Multiplayer is fun!
But the lack of dedicated servers is making it hard to find good lagfree games. And some people are bad sports, for instance one guy that usually hosts lagfree games only plays american (i believe its the easier faction!) and everytime his teams starts to lose he just ends the server, resulting in it not counting. So no wonder he's on the leaderboard with 177 to 9 Wins/losses.
I hate people like him. Time they patch ded. server files in.

Yeah that's true, and it's ridiculous because these people never play anything else.
