Does look good!

I hope they fix:

And the Comet is having a major issue related to the skin so we will have to fix that before release.

Shit I'm pretty sure you could offer the guy a cup of coffee and he'd try to kill you with the mug if you forgot sugar.

That's like offering Beer to fuck the fat chick. It will work for a while, but it's not gonna last. Not only that, but there is zero motivation for the Fat chick to loose weight.

The worst thing, it really looked like a oversized cromwell. Least cool points ever.

you mean flankspeed firefly... It would fit a niche only if it had something between sherman upgun and pershing stat gun, then there is firefly or crom...

it should be something like an oversized puma, since the comet is fast and low, so hard to hit

and wiki says its a cruiser tank  Tongue

The Comets 17 Pounder would have a lower fire rate and terrible accuracy on the move.

It was faster, had better armour and cannon than a Cromwell. The Comet may have Tiger armour and cannon but less hp + a greater max. speed and acceleration than a panther.

So I think it could be in good use!

the Comet didn't use the 17, it used the 77mm, which is like part 17 part 76.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comet_tank
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ordnance_QF_17_pdr#77_mm_HV

Quote
As the breech length of the 17-pdr was too long to fit in many tanks a new version was designed with a shorter breech, firing the same projectile as the 17-pdr from a 3-inch 20 cwt AA gun cartridge through a shortened 17-pdr barrel. This new gun's ammunition was not interchangeable with the 17-pounder, so to prevent confusion over ammunition supplies, it was renamed the "77 mm HV"—the 'HV' standing for High Velocity—although it was the same 76.2 mm calibre as the 17-pdr. This gun was used in the Comet tank.
Quote
It had a lower muzzle velocity than the 17-pounder, but the ammunition was much more compact and more easily stored and handled within the confines of a tank

What I would do is basically make a 45 range 76mm and maybe with a bit more dmg. NO flank speed and give it same speed as current crom (which makes it slower than the sherman, m18 and m10)

actually maybe slower than the current crom, its speed was governed from 50 for the normal crom to 42 for the comet.

Quote
The Comet tank's top speed was governed down from the Cromwell's 40+ mph to a slightly slower but still respectable 32 mph to preserve suspension and engine components and to reduce track wear.

I guess you can make it basically a shortened firefly gun

Quote
However, faulty fuzes meant the withdrawal of the HE ammunition, limiting the tank's role to an anti-tank vehicle. With stocks of 77 mm ammunition dwindling in 1969, the army began an experiment to prolong the life of the vehicle.

it was only an AT tank.
