Is there a Europe in Ruins torrent I could use to download the mod?
My connection drops out quite often meaning conventional downloads don't work.

It the weird way my connection works it will let me play CoH with a reasonable Ping at low peak times, yet downloads are slow, taking three to six hours. The drop outs are due to crappy routers not the connection itself going down. And a drop out only last for a second or two, meaning that while it fucks over standard downloads CoH sees it as little more than a speedbump. At the moment nobody seems to be using the internet so I've got a pretty fast speed and might succeed in downloading it before the router drops out again.

I could try but the computer clusters at Birmingham Uni are packed pretty much all day. It doesn't matter anymore though, I managed to get the download through finally.

cant you use a download manager, or i think firefox has a built in one, that lets you pause and restart downloads?

I don't think the firefox one will work, because in my experience every time you have to queue before you can start you're download you can't restart after pausing. (although the '.part'-file is still in the download location though, so maybe it can continue)

The Firefox download manager does indeed allow you to pause, but doing so will sometimes corrupt files, and it won't do it automatically when the connection drops.

Not to mention they were from stoneage and would explode when you tried to run anything higher than Microsoft Pinball.

I dunno how much having a interruption in connection of a few seconds will affect you, but I know that total internet loss for like four seconds seems to boot me from EIRR, usually.

an EIR torrent wouldn't be too hard to set up tbh but it would require people to use a certain program and keep their computers connected if we go to the p2p way or have eir uploaded to different websites

Dafuq man, don't ask for proof if you'll refuse it if it's not in your favor, logic fallacy for the bloody win.
