Before the game started the feeling in lobby was that we were gonna get stomped.  In truth, we thought we were gonna stomped.

Wind was obviously our headliner, but Thael and I did just enough.

My score sucked, but I felt like I played OK (but have to watch the replay).  Felt like I made some important contributions, had an MG in key spot that just stopped them in the middle for a good stretch.  But facing vet3 Brit inf and mandos with mostly volks is no fun.

Was a very fun game.

I have one more question though: Dont you think the sniper escaping its death 14242 times might have won the game?  Tongue

Not really, because there was really only 1 time in the entire game where the sniper escaped a close call .

I've just watched the replay and there were really only 2 times where it  there was a forseeable chance of it dying: the two jeep drops where the sniper ended up being revealed and injured. The other jeep drops either failed to locate the sniper, or died before they got close to shooting it.

Of these two jeep drops, neither one stood a reliable chance of killing the sniper.

In the case of the the 1st jeep drop, for example, only 1 jeep made it to my sniper to reveal it, and by that time that jeep had 10% hp left and was surrounded by a p4 and a kch squad. The sniper only was taken to 50% health at that attempt.

The second jeep drop, my sniper was in a good spot surrounded by the buildings and the narrow alley so your jeeps couldn't really get to him en masse and were killed off one by one. In that case the sniper went down to much lower hp. This was really the only close call.

As for the time the p4 supressed the recon squad, that wasn't actually close either. The squad was in no cover, standing right next to the p4's heat rounds mg42 for about 10 seconds. At that range of course their gonna get suppressed.

Not to mention my sniper had already moved around the building and was safe from their lof anyways.

Now bear makes his own funny thread. It's unsurprisingly not funny.

The poor Captain getting sniped on the left by the Pak was beautiful, as was some of the commando action. How many ambush squads were there?
