I know, i  put out a lot of suggestions, but i think that if we get idea's flowing we can eventually get so some realy good ones.

Since axis have heavy tanks and people on the side of heavy  tanks keep saying that AT is the best and only way to counter a tank, maybe the allies should have some realy strong AT that can be used to fight against heavy tanks? An AT gun that is more expesive but powerful.

Example:

75MM, used by US and UK

Both sides have strengths and weaknesses, the Allies are meant to be a bit more versatile and have heavy arty, while the Axis are more focused in power.

This is a COMPLETE generalization, and there are many areas of give / take for both sides.  Im sure someone will write up some more ;p

That's like offering Beer to fuck the fat chick. It will work for a while, but it's not gonna last. Not only that, but there is zero motivation for the Fat chick to loose weight.

I get the part about axis being more about power, but i think that one of the allied functoions is to be able to defend against heavy tanks. Its not a major part of versetility, its just a part of it, a part which i think should be strengthned due to axis tank power.

A strengthoned AT wepon could completely throw out the argument of OP HT, beacuse they would have towatch out for a more powerful At wep.

But the whole point of a heavy tank is to soak up damage.  If there's something that does a ton of damage to it then it's not really heavy anymore now is it?

By the way, am I correct to assume that this thread was made under the assumption that Axis heavy tanks are overpowered?

Check this out, Sticky bombs + ATGs = Win!!

Zomg, you might need more than 1 type of unit!

You can stop any Axis heavy cold with less pop than it uses. Why is this an issue?

The unit you're suggesting is already in. Under the name "17-pounder".

But tanks can just move around it, even a panther can manover around a 17 pounder. Im talking about somethiung less powerful than the 17 pounder, mobile and can still pack a punch.

A panther, one of the fastest tanks in the game, can manouver around a 17 pounder? *shock*.

No, it's simply not needed, it's like saying WM needs to have an 88 on wheels in the form of the old geschutzwaggen. Just use your 57 mms with support, and they'll do fine.

If such ATG would be given, why would people bother with 57mm anymore?

As well such ATG would not only counter the heaviest armor that it was intented to counter but as well everything else. Not everyone uses Heavy Armor focused Companies. This said heavy ATG would destroy P4s, StuGs, Ostwinds, Wirblewinds, All PE Scheisse vehicles, P4 Stubby, Tigers(Big kitty huge roar, hides under the sofa when RR horde/Button army, Firefly etc comes around) and Panthers(Medium tank, 'The heaviest non-doc tank' axis get). Leaving the big heavies Jagd and KT that are the so called heavy armor

Easy, give it a disadvantage like Rate of Fire.  Such a gun would thus shoot very slow and hit hard (ie. 57mm) but be useless against mass tank spam, while quicker firing but weaker guns (ie. paks) would be useful for en masse hordes of armor or light vehicles.

And I personally consider panthers heavy tanks and P4s/Stugs the mediums, Panther is up there with Tiger, and anything above the basic tiger are the super heavies (example, Pershing is on par with Tiger and Panther, but not on par with a KT or Jadg, and a Pershing I would consider just a 'heavy' and not super heavy or medium tank).

I would definitely pay for a much more effective ATG than what the allies currently have.  Again, not complaining about ATGs against medium armor, which they do pretty well/excel at (57mm against Stugs and P4s is a great examlpe), but their effectiveness just drops a ton against anything beyond a heavy (they do find against panthers and tigers being 'regular heavies').
