It's a sad day when...

I bring a friend into the mod, only to have members of the
PR TEAM
refuse to play anything but the PP maps, and cause 4v4s to be forced, after everyone gets into the coh lobby. If you can't act responsibly, then you really don't need to be associated with the mod team.
I won't name names, but after playing on the same pp map with said person today twice in a row, I didn't think it was unreasonable to want to play a different one -- even after the clear majority of the players agreed with me.
Many reports of this same situation being repeated have come to my attention. Different PR team members being the ring leaders of the problem on multiple occasions. Unacceptable if you ask me.
If these people feel the need to act so selfishly for an extra
2 PPs
then maybe they need to take a step back and reevaluate their perception of what PR really means.
One may find oneself asking, Self.... where have all the cowboys gone?

same thing happened to me yesterday (tuesday) when the server was acting up, we finally got a game to start and the allied team whined about the PP map (2 extra PP) so this is what we go back to with the war map huh? Just can't play on any map anymore, we have to wrestle and whine about a few extra pP.
the worse thing was the fact that on tuesday they'd have rather ruin the game that we spend 30 minutes trying to get going just for a map (not sayin the axis team was any better but i was sick of the map myself I could've been a better mediator but w/e)

Dafuq man, don't ask for proof if you'll refuse it if it's not in your favor, logic fallacy for the bloody win.

I'm not a big fan of the warmap 'map focus' to begin with, and this is just another reason for me to dislike it.
It's understandable though that with the current grind some people want to play only the PP maps as those give a small extra, but yeah it's only 2 PPs in the end.
Anyway, this sucks to hear and I hope that whoever that PR member is, he thinks about his responsibilities

Hmm, who would care about this other than the member of the PR team with the highest win-loss ratio? Pwned.

I don't see the correlation between high win loss and desire to horde more PPs tbh.

Just one more reason the whole war map system needs to be reconsidered.

Cum hoc ergo propter hoc.
Or, in other words, "correlation does not imply causation".
Your observation here is not only irellevant, it is also a fallacy. There is no evidence to conclusively suggest that all, or most players who level quickly are therefore more inclined to adamantly oppose not playing the war map - especially because PP is so much easier to gain than exp and the latter curtails the usefulness of the former.
Kaching fail.

How is it not optimal for the rapidly leveling player to play the warmap for the purpose of gaining PPs?
Also rapidly leveling players (by wins) DO gain less pp's than people who lose more of their games.
Your troglodyte logic betrays your latin, friend.

Honestly,if not your planning on playing the pp map announce it,otherwise most players believe they are going to play it.
Any who so your saying it's wrong to not to play a game you don't want to play?
Less qq jinker, stop acting like you've been the one wronged.

Still, you shouldn't boycot games that started just because you won't be playing on a map that doesn't give you 2 (!!) extra PPs. It's selfish and incredibly inconsiderate of all other players in the game, most players don't really care from what I've seen.
If you really want to play a specific map, ask your fellow players in the launcher if they're up for playing that specific map.
Once you RTL you should play your game. No excuses (RL emergencies excluded)

Nobody has a right to boycot a game, but unless its direct griefing refusing to join or play isn't against the rules. If something smells like foul play it usually is. The warmap choice is never perfect or obvious as a choice, but it has one thing going for it that none of the maps that aren't the warmap, that it grants extra pps. So it has a legitimacy to it that the other maps doesnt have which is why people often insist on it.
That said It should be possible to host a game and select the map so people know what map to expect. This exists in OMG and helps reduce some of the flaming ingame about the map.
Also RTL only means that you have agreed to go into the COH game. Its the readying up ingame that means you have accepted to play. If people decide to leave for whatever reason at that point, its their
legal
right. If this hurts their reputation, its their loss.
Best thing is when people can be mature and just agree.

Exactly the point! Just because the relationship can potentially exist, does not conclusively make it the cause. Thus while it is technically optimal, there is absoloutely no evidence to support the suggestion that only players with high levels would "care", or that even that the majority of them would care to begin with.
A potential relationship is not the same as causality.
